I am really enjoying your photos of Virginia City, Scifan. I do like the frontier town atmosphere of the various streets and buildings.
It looks like we have another must see place to add to the list. :)

Most of the buildings in my posts were built in 1876, the year a bad fire burned down most of the town.
Less than 900 people live here today, while during the silver rush the population approached 30,000. The Comstock lode was one of the richest silver and gold deposits ever discovered.

Here are various photos I found on the computer during a tidying up session. The views are in London.

I took this from Perronet House at the Elephant and Castle in S. London. The view is the Thames looking upstream with the tall buildings of the City of London on the right.

This building was a Victorian Library in Spa Road, Bermondsey. It is 2 doors from where I used to work - before my department moved to Tooley Street near Tower Bridge.

This view is from high up in a block of flats in Camberwell. I'm looking Eastwards towards the Docklands area and Essex. Who said views from high up blocks of flats were boring?

A view across London from Forest Hill's heights. Close to Crystal Palace Park.

Wembly football stadium from Forest Hill's heights. I was testing out the zoom on my new Canon Pwershot camera.

Here are some photos of the building which housed the Territorial Enterprise, a newspaper in Virginia City, once edited by Mark Twain.

Probably a visit to the auto graveyard for parts, then a do it yourself repair.

The former Bank of Ottawa building in downtown Regina. Built in 1911 and now a Smitty's restaurant in the Cornwall Centre.

Hi LannyC. Welcome to this thread, and thx for your photos. It's great to see different aspects of the built environment. :)

Thanks. I don't have that many photos of interesting buildings--our vacations typically focus on wild landscapes, like these:

All of these were taken with this iPad, on a trip into the Canadian Rockies.

Great shots! Thanks for showing them to us. Which mountain is it in your first photo?
