Architecture - buildings that is

Great picture Richard. Have you been to Leeds Castle? My sons girlfriend is coming over from America in a couple of months and I'm going to take them to see it, I'll take my iPhone and post some pictures.

Thanks Gabe. It was a shame about the unseasonal weather.

It's a few years since I visited Leeds Castle. We should revisit. Looking forward to your photos.

When you buy a ticket now it's reusable for the whole year, so a trip early on is worth it's weight in gold.

Truly fabulous photos Richard.

What a wonderful trip you've had. Just to think of all the history here...just love it!

That peacock was just stunning too! :)

Great pictures, as usual, Richard.
Did you visit the Carmo church? It's ruins are visible in one of the photos taken from the castle.

This lift was erected in 1902. It was quite unexpected to see it - not so pretty, but fascinating. :)

The North-West Territorial Government administration building, in Regina. This was one of the main government buildings for the North-West Territories before Saskatchewan became a province in 1905.

Wow, it looks like a really modern building.

It is in great condition, it looks like it could have been built last year.

It was restored in the late 1970’s. It's the only remaining building of the original three building complex. If it was summer, I could show you the foundation outlines of the other two buildings.

Provides a neat link to my next photos of Lisbon.

I enjoy roofscapes. The mansard roofs and Roman tiled roofs are super in Lisbon. I was also taken with the Art Deco buildings and a Deco monument.

The Rossio railway station has, to my kind, Moorish influences. The station was built towards the end of the 19thC. It was refurbished and resorted to its original internal spatial layout roundabouts the end of the 20thC.

The Eden Teatro (theatre?) looks fantastic, like something out of Gotham City in Batman!
