There's so much to see that you'd probably need several days to see everything without rushing.

That's true. Most of the people need about 2 hours for a visit.

I forgot to mention: it's not allowed to touch any of the attractions outside, except for the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

There are a few other sights near Minimundus, so if there's enough time, you can also visit Planetarium Klagenfurt, the reptile zoo next to it, or Europapark:

I was at an evening show in the planetarium.
It's also visible from Minimundus, and there's also a entrance from the park. I was coming from a different direction, though. Here it is:

Inside, you can find a model of the ISS, e.g.

Entrance to the room with the cupola:

And here's one of the devices used in there:

Visible above: Earth.

There are differents shows, also for children. There's "The secret of trees" for children aged 4 and older (35 minutes), or "Billions of suns" from 12 years onwards, just to name two of them.

The one I saw, was "To Space and Back", which lasted 30 minutes. We had an Astronomy show afterwards, which extended my stay to 75 very interesting minutes, where we could ask questions, if necessary.

Hint: you're sitting, leaning against the backrest, looking upwards the whole time, so a ponytail is a disadvantage, as I had to notice.

Europapark

It's a beautiful place to spend your time, it doesn't cost any money, and it's located next to a few other attractions. I was there for about 90 minutes. Here are some of my pictures, and where to find the locations:

I was there before noon, at a time when people were working at the garden, taking care of the flowers, e.g. So it wasn't possible to see everything.

It's also allowed to ride your bicycle in the park.

I noticed that that flag display included a Canadian flag. The flower gardens are wonderful, even the one with the fallen tree.

The name "Europapark" should show Klagenfurt's cosmopolitanism. The flags are from the city's twinned towns. Here's the list:

Czernivtsi - Ukraine
Dachau - Germany
Dessau - Germany
Dushanbe - Tajikistan
Gladsaxe - Denmark
Gorizia - Italy
Laval - Canada
Nanning - China
Nazareth-Illit - Israel
Nova Gorica - Slovenia
Rzeszów - Poland
Sibiu - Romania
Tarragona - Spain
Wiesbaden - Germany
Zalaegerszeg - Hungary

That explains it then. Laval, the Canadian city in the list, is a city in the province of Quebec.

Wörtersee

Almost the whole beach of the lake is private property, or inaccessible. If you wish to go swimming, you have two options: either live in a hotel that has access to such a private part of the beach, or visit a public bathing beach. There's one in almost every one of the settlements around the lake.

Other things you can do:

Waterskiing is also possible. In Pörtschach, where I had my hotel room, there's a night water ski show every Monday at 9 PM in summer. It also took place when I was there, although it was raining.

It was dark. So the pictures I tried to take there, were mostly blurry.

The entire shoreline of a lake like this, were it located where I live, would be public property.

Boat tours

Can last up to 4 hours. You get a daysaver ticket on one of the ships, and then you can spend the whole time on the ship, or leave it in one of the ports, and continue your tour with another ship. It works like the Hop On Hop Off Bus Tours in various cities.
Adults pay 14 € per day, there are reductions as well, if you own Kärnten Card, e.g. It's also possible to combine those tickets with some of the sights around Lake Wörth.

Here's the route:

If you visit Carnuntum (Austrian Sights and following posts), take a short trip to Bad Deutsch-Altenburg as well. It’s a market town and spa, and it’s situated on the riverbank of the Danube.

There are nice spa gardens, where you can take a walk, or sit in the shadow of a tree.

You’ll also find a museum called “Carnuntinum” there.

It was built from 1901 to 1904, and imitates the style of a Roman country mansion. It’s shelter for more than 2 million findings, which makes it Austria’s largest Roman museum.

Emperor Franz Joseph opened it in 1904. His statue is in the gardens next to it, right before the entrance of the museum.

A short walk from the Carnuntinum is a church on a hill, surrounded by the cemetery. The building is under monumental protection, and shows medieval architecture in Austria. Part of the church was built in 1051, with extensions added in later centuries (14th century: West tower and choir). Three fires (16th, 17th and 18th century) left a mostly demolished building. It was renovated from 1897 - 1911.
