Big Business - game discussion

Finally placed first in the contests. Had the day off and nothing else going on and I used a production bonus.

Can I ask anyone out there why is GI trying to sell mansions when most of us probably can't use it? I mean our happiness levels are so high that who can achieve them to need big buildings with high population? I haven't built houses since I needed to complete quests. Am I missing something?

Yeah I hear you. And then to offer population bonuses. Lame. Like I spelled out in previous posts on how I accumulate XP there seems to be not much use for housing.

Am I the only one who didn't get the super event? Not that I honestly care after the last one with the printing office but I was just wondering.

I have not seen it yet but I do have the 14.99 offer.

Can I be annoying for a minute?
How many people completed the commercial port task within the 9 days? I think I got screwed cause I was doing the challenge simultaneously with the Eiffel task

I got the port done in the 9 days but not the bridge or hydro plant...I wasn't spending $ on something that I knew I wouldn't complete in the time frame...

I finished the port in about 2 hours less than the time required so I just made it. But I also had every possible item prepared ahead of time that I could, so it made it much easier. I've heard the others are not as easy.

I had everything prepared its the steel details that aren't dropping at all

Yeah those details got me too. Wait about 10 days then they will come fast n furious

Lol isit normal for my bookstores to keep dropping journals even though that challenge is done?

I had everything done ahead of time, but it took 14 days for the steel details to drop. I did it in 15 1/2 days. bummer. It took 10 days to get the suitcases for the hydro plant and you cannot produce the 40 aluminum ahead of time anymore. So, just the aluminum takes me (only 1 plant) 160 hours (with no breaks for ships and staying up all night.) I am on 14 aluminum- after another shipment of ore. I knew ahead of time that I would not get it in time, but still found it frustrating to not get the suitcases, as I kept thinking about how these programmers got this game so wrong (or that my luck was just terrible! Ha!)
