Hi Saryna - with the benefit of hindsight (I'm on Level 54, and need a population of 280000 before I can place another industrial building) I wish I had bought a few more ranches, in order to get the Cowboy achievement (I think 7 are required for that). You can always demolish however many you then consider to be surplus to requirements after the achievement, and keep your population requirement as low as possible. I have two ranches, which I manage okay with, but I think life would be easier if I maybe had 4. I have three confectionery plants, 3 mill houses, 5 farms and 2 paper mills and seem to manage pretty well. I could probably have done with an additional dairy farm and sawmill, but it's not too bad. For the higher end industrial buildings; you'll definitely need the toy factory, food plant and mine if you want to complete several of the major building tasks (which require items such as shirts, aluminium, etc. to complete). Also, a lot of cargos at the port require products from the radio factory or the cosmetics factory, and you'll definitely need the chemical plant as well to make the raw materials for these factories. The only industrial building in the shop that I could comfortably live without is the electronics plant; apart from products being occasionally needed for VIP containers at the port, I don't make that much use of it - it was nice to be able to complete the targets in the left hand bar, but that was about it! It now spends most of its time in storage, as I was able to purchase a printing office directly to storage without increasing population requirements, and can now swap the two around as I need to - the printing office, by the way, is definitely a lucrative little factory! Hope that helps, sure others will have better and even contradictory advice Steve (SteveGPI, Hanham, Level 54. Need trowels and hammers for Thanksgiving building upgrades.)
Hi didn't know this trick of buying and moving straight to storage . I think I will get the park and may even be able to raise it to level two if I decide to sleep for 4 hrs in the night!!!! Need hammers for the upgrades. What did you get for doomsday achievement??? My game crashed so I didn't get anything just saw that I've achieved it!!!! Typical

This pretty much matches my experience.
Only 70000 more happiness points and I can have a new factory lol
city - Squillion square player name amanda35
Only 1,159,000 more hapless (yes) points for my new factory, yay! I will need to buy 290 premium entertainment buildings with 4,000 hp each to build an electronics plant. Piece o'cake... 290 x 80 cc (min) = 23,200 cc. If I buy cc today, the Amazing Deal is 720 cc for $99.99. I will need to spend $3,222 to purchase that plant. {Summerville - Elloriana, lvl 70}
Yeah..I am with you on the high happiness levels to build a new factory...I know I will never reach mine so not buying anymore of there cc...too bad they have ruined the game play this way.. But I am still playing but picking and choosing what I do now..I am leaving ships go out empty if I don't want the hassle of filling them...so I am playing a more relaxed game now.Only 1,159,000 more hapless (yes) points for my new factory, yay! why don't you kill some factories? That's what I did so I have a choice to buy a regular factory instead of a city credit building.Only 1,159,000 more hapless (yes) points for my new factory, yay! Just tried to visit you - I get this: "Error. Player have not yet posted new information about himself, probably he has connection issues, try to visit him later." Obviously, you're not a "he" so they've decided you're not even allowed to play Not sure what the error message means, or what you're expected to do? Maybe go to your profile settings? Who knows? With Game Infight (no, that wasn't a typo) anything's possible! Steve (SteveGPI, Hanham, Level 54. Currently collecting blancmanges - well, why the hell not, no hope of finishing the thanksgiving challenge ;-) )
I got 18 empty slots and since I destroyed about 12 buildings (3 paper, 2 ranches, 1 sawmill, 6 dairy) I have gotten over 100k in happiness, I can still place in contests and I have a plan that does not include buying city credits. I will get two of the new buildings and place in storage until I can place them. I am close to the next happiness level to place 1 of them anyway.Why do I wanna do that? The electronics plant is worthless and I could not care less about those fancy little shops, I don't use them anyway. What I have now is much more useful. I feel really sorry for destroying 2 paper mils (I still have 4) because I was reluctant to buy more storage at one point, and I wish I had another mine and another cosmo but I am not going to destroy who knows how many farms or ranches to build these two structures. I am making stuff for the gift shop now but if I am unable to store it first that will be of course a wasted effort, like the last time. However, I was able to place the printing shop in storage so maybe I have a chance with the gift shop too. Their design is very inconsistent. If not, well, at least I will make some money. By the way, as my pop grows, it becomes possible to place more and more factories in the city, even if I am not allowed to build. I have 6 empty storage slots by now. {Summerville - Elloriana, lvl 70}
