Big Business - game discussion

That's great if you are able to make modules. I can't remember the last time I saw a bronze :(

BB - Squillion square player name amanda35. tribes - qufasvh

I, myself, dream of lens. Last one I saw was when I pretty much started the game on I think Dec 1. I was getting bronze and lens then poof all lens dried up. I broke down and bought one so I could make a module but I am into the bronze business since. I have 100+ bronze gears. LOL and they say there is no problem

Hi new to the forums wanted to know if anyone else had issues working on the power plant chain (the big waterfall thing). I started it and the first part went ok however for the last 5 days now I have been stuck on the 2nd part of stage 1 where we need to help 20 workers and get 10 suitcases so far I on,y had 1 suitcase drop two days ago and zero workers show up. Wondering if I need to do something to trigger them. I have 1 day left to win the award (not that I even dreamt of that happening lol) and it's frustrating emailed Gi and was simply told that it is a luck thing on drops and to wait. Any advice is appreciated In game name is the same starr4837 always looking for neighbours :-)

I really hope they figure out these connection issues soon, it's driving me crazy. This morning I couldn't access anything Internet related. I can now get to contests but my port is out of commission and I can't visit other cities.

dont expect to finish any of of those things eiffel tower, hydro plant, river bridge in time of those 9 days. my first one was the tower and is still the last to be finished.. last steps but i started it abt dec 1 2013. yes the gi luck ha...ha...ha...

i said to myself, self just do them as they come and dont expect to finish is a reasonable amount of time... That is when I finished the hydro plant and the river bridge.

my word of thumb. patience grasshopper

I already knew the 9 days was not going to happen but I would at least like to see 1 worker it's getting frustrating after 5 days not seeing any progress. I have the port done but gave up caring about the tower lol

Have you turned off the walking men (this is what I accidentally did and didn't realise for about a month). I can't remember if the workers are the ones who just wander around, but if you check your settings at the bottom of the screen, it may have been turned off. Gi's drop rate is absolutely p**s poor though! so don't expect the suitcases to appear too regularly. It took me eight months to finish the Eiffel Tower. (That's probably as long as the actual Eiffel Tower took to build, maybe this game is realistic....). Good luck.

So ain't this just the way.... For the first time probably ever, I have all the factories needed to complete the port, so I can relax and fill the containers, and amazingly the internet connection is down, so everything I made is wasted, and no doubt I won't be able to fill the containers on the next one hundred occasions. Isn't that just marvellous. :o

( I don't want to insert a smiley here, I want to insert an anger, but I cannot find one to sum up my annoyance enough, so I will just pretend it's all perfectly fine.)

Are the gem mine and metal mine worth dropping my CC on? I see that by themselves they are not super profitable, but with a processing plant added, some fairly profitable products would be available. I'm not sure what I should do first (add a second milling plant or confectionery - I have one of each right now) or take the plunge and get one of the gem or metal mine while they are on sale. Any thoughts/suggestions/warnings/recommendations? :)

Thanks for the tip I do have them turned on. One finally showed up tonight so I guess in 5 more days I'll get my second one lol and yes the drop rate is ridiculous!!

Keep checking your port. I had the same thing happen today and it eventually started working again, just before I was about to sell everything. Sadly the time before the ship departs didn't start when I got access but hours earlier so it looks like I won't be able to fill it since I'm short scaffolding....love that the players get to pay for GIs errors...as usual

Hello all, same connection problems here; very touchy - ok for a while and then spits the dummy. I need help with the hydro- if anyone has turbines, could you please send them to me? Thanks!

I love my gem/metal/ processing plants...mine is always running...I make iron and amethst during the day and run gold or ruby at night...worth the money in my opinion. I was even thinking of getting another one but may wait for the processing plant to come on sale.

Thanks, Judy! We've talked about this before but now that the option is available to me, its time to make a call :) I have two days to ponder before I have to make a decision. The only thing keeping me from it is that my pop requirement will shoot through the roof now with two new additions. That will throw my milling plant and confectionery plans out the window. But then again, I can purchase those two building at any time and these special buildings are not always available. How I wish these insane pop limit numbers would be dropped down to realistic levels. Next thing I know my entire city is going to look like one massive baseball field with some sushi shops scattered here and there. Sigh!

I love my gem plant group. Always running and makes me money. but my thoughts are also.......

If you want the achievements (something abt the fevers got me) you need 30 ingots gold.. to make them you need the metal plant to make the 60 gold nuggets and then the processing plant to make the ingots. it takes 2 nuggets for each one. I like the plants cuz i made some good money on them and i made ruby rings and sold them off. ALso I seem to always get the VIP containers with needing 3 rubies or ingots or something.

Although I have found the milling and confectionary plants nice to make the stuff for events and contest. I have 3 of each now. THey are cheaper to invest in. Depends on where you are in your money situation and stuff.

The mines have been on sale I know 3 times since I started in Dec. If you get the mines and processing plants I would think abt getting all 4 in the long run.. the other 2 are the Gem mine and the jewelry shop...

O when you go for the got the fever you need to have all 30 gold ingots in your warehouse at once...so if you dont have the space build up the warehouses first and invest in the other factories so you have the space and cc but wait til they go on sale (of course)

I probably would have built up factories first now for corporation events but when i started the corp wasnt there. I feel I can do more with things.

Hope this helps
