Copy and paste

IM having trouble copying and paste from email to notes. In the email I get the ballon and hip the copy. When I go to notes and touch the page I just get the magnifying glass, nothing in it. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong.

When you go to Notes, are you in a new note? As in, is the keyboard visible? AFAIK, you can't paste unless the keyboard is visible - that's when the Notes app is in edit mode. So, either create a new note or press on an existing note to bring up the keyboard.
