deleting photos

I brought some photo from my G5 but now cannot delete them from the IPad

I have tried placing them in albums, deleted the albums but the photos remain on the IPad

any assistance would be appreciated

Were the photos transferred from your G5 to your computer, then transferred to your iPad? If so, the only way to delete them from your iPad is to go to the folder on your computer that contains the photos, delete them from the folder and sync your iPad while connected to iTunes on your computer.
