Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

Are you on an iPad or iPhone? For my iPhone I had to go into settings, general, restrictions and then turn on multiplayer games and adding friends. Hope that helps you.

Ipad.. I on the restriction like u said.. And it still didn't pop out..my friends in the gamecenter,i still couldn't see them..they have sent me gems though..i eally wanna sent them back..but i can't...this is so frustrating!! Thanks for ur help though..once i can sent gems. I will gladly sent one to u...

Yes, I can only imagine the motivation that actual money injects! You are very welcome.

Have you actually added friends (through Game Center)? You must have some friends listed before you can give/receive gems from them.
If you have added people in Game Center but they havent shown up in DragonVale itself you might try turning your device off and on; I had to do that to get my friends showing in DV.
Otherwise, I'm not sure what the issue might be?!

So when you are in DragonVale and you touch the friends button, what comes up? Are you choosing the friends list tab? (there are two tabs, Invite Friends and Friends List)
If you have friends listed under the 'friends list' tab then you just have to touch the 'free gift' button next to their name (up to 3 per day).

If you dont have friends on your friends list then you will have to wait till they show up (have heard some people say they had to wait till the day after adding them (but this never happened to me, I just turn my iPhone off and on and they are showing in DV).

ooh well, that's definitely a problem! Have no idea how to fix that, sorry.
I suppose it could be a setting in Game Center, your iPad or a glitch in DragonVale but I'm just not sure. Hopefully someone can help you soon. Good luck!

I think they said that they had friends listed in Game Center, and those friends had sent gems, but they just weren't showing up in DV when they tried to return the gifts...
I hope I'm wrong though - it would be lovely if we could find a solution for indhz90!

Now that I've added you I can see you and your list of 20 friends in the Game Center. If you can see them too then it isn't a Game Center issue and it must be a DragonVale thing. You can always email the developers at [email protected]. I understand they are quite helpful. Good luck!

Oh, and the other thing I noticed was that my friends who hadn't upgraded disappeared from my list until they upgraded. Just another possibility.

Yeah it would be nice if my park layout did actually help me breed the dragons I wanted but I'm pretty sure it doesnt but I still like the idea/look. My quiet island has only water and air habitats for pleasant ambient noise (no Quakes or Sonics to disturb the peace, heh), no paths go past - there is a tree barrier to screen, the library is there (of course you have to be quiet in the library!), I didn't put a DragINN there so no one can stay the night (there is a buffet near the entrance portal but that's as far from the breeding/hatching area as possible) and then there's a nice open lawn area to relax on when it's not snowing, hehe. See?! I thought it through!
Of course the new, dedicated island would be even more quiet but I'm guessing only that one might actually increase your chances. Trying to resist buying gems...not sure I'll make it...

I mentioned earlier that I am not as happy as I was with my current park layout because I recently changed some habitats (sold a couple, bought others). My 'quiet' island (where my farms and breeding/hatching stuff is) hasnt changed too much though (have only upgraded 4 to the huge treat farms)

I have finally decided to retry breeding a rainbow dragon. Had given up for a while as it continually eluded me. Does anyone have any good combinations for breeding. I know there have been several mention over the past 170 odd pages but woah that's a lot of reading. Appreciate your suggestions
