I'm happy with the new update, I guess. Really would have liked to get a chance at another habitat or two! I am SO not selling off any more habitates from my Peter Pan island. Lucky enough to get a second raindeer to add to my never grow up "babies". He's so much cuter than his "big" brother.

@indhz90 : I once had your problem too. Just go to Appstore > Updates and update your DV to the latest version then you will see your friends on DV friendlist

I can't do it..it's always askking to go login in on facebook and said to invite friends. But i tried already still no luck.. I can't see my friends either on facebook or gamecenter..anyone could help i am willing to gift u gems.. Thankss!!!

Ok make sure you are logged in on gamecenter and if it continues then try the Facebook login through dragonvale and if it still persist then restart you idevice and check gc again then dv and it should be fixed. It has happened to me on more than one occasion. Let me know what happens

Hey brooklyn. Which shrine/s became available at level 22? Just wanted to get a head start on the new one. Ive already completed plant and fire using the flower dragon over and over! Thanks!!

I power leveled so fast that I'm not sure if it's lightning or cold, sorry I was so excited expecting a new habitat that I powered straight through to lvl 25 but it's cool cause we didn't get the habitat but we got these nice goals with the Shrines to occupy or time for a long time. Breed on!!!

I have finally decided to retry breeding a rainbow dragon. Had given up for a while as it continually eluded me. Does anyone have any good combinations for breeding. I know there have been several mention over the past 170 odd pages but woah that's a lot of reading. Appreciate your suggestions

The combinations I have seen on here are:
Firefly x Seaweed
Blazing x Crystal
Bluefire x Crystal

I haven't actually managed to get one myself - havent tried for a little while though - yet either but those are, apparently, successful combinations.

I seem to have stalled after I got my Sun but I wonder if I'm just expecting too much? I mean, I have taken a break now I'm trying for the reindeer (approx 3 hours till I find out if I have one to incubate!) but it still seems like I've tried sooo many times with no new rares to show for it. Ah well, will just have to keep trying!

Yeah it would be nice if my park layout did actually help me breed the dragons I wanted but I'm pretty sure it doesnt but I still like the idea/look. My quiet island has only water and air habitats for pleasant ambient noise (no Quakes or Sonics to disturb the peace, heh), no paths go past - there is a tree barrier to screen, the library is there (of course you have to be quiet in the library!), I didn't put a DragINN there so no one can stay the night (there is a buffet near the entrance portal but that's as far from the breeding/hatching area as possible) and then there's a nice open lawn area to relax on when it's not snowing, hehe. See?! I thought it through!
Of course the new, dedicated island would be even more quiet but I'm guessing only that one might actually increase your chances. Trying to resist buying gems...not sure I'll make it...

Yep, I know. Seems like no matter what I've done it hasn't really helped speed up the process. Maybe taking the boosts might of helped. Not really sure though. Lol you really thought it out didn't you?! I didn't make it long. Took me about 5 minutes and I was spending the 4.99.

I can't believe I spent 8 dollars on Dragonvale to get the special breeding cave and extra cash and I have yet to breed a rare dragon out of about 15 tries!

I haven't bred any rares out of it either and I also purchased gems to get it. I did get the 2 reindeer but they don't seem to be too rare. I'm on my 14th try for moon and nothing yet. I did however get something on the original island. Not sure what yet. 11 hrs to go.

I don't think I could stay up so late just for that, I'd definitely wait for the next morning, hehe. Then again I have almost no gems coming in as yet so it was pretty easy to wait till it was a more convenient time for me to start giving again. I don't mind giving and not receiving back every time (I understood people had more friends to spread gems between than I did or that they didn;t play every day) but it gets a little frustrating when I was giving to the same people every day and only got one back.
I think my hubby might like the game if he played but he has no device to even try it yet (my iPhone is our first smartphone etc) and I'm not sure he'd allow himself the time at the moment.

Yes, weird glitch but was nice to give away a couple more gems. I will definitely be starting a list. I haven't actually received any gems back from my latest gifting but I have a piece of paper just waiting/hoping :thumbs:
edited to add: I had turned my phone off and on a couple of times to get people I'd accepted in Game Center showing in DragonVale...not sure if this 'helped' make the glitch occur?!

Your like me...I know they will eventually come my way. Ther's a lot of great friends on here that trade them so it will pick up for you. Yep...I understand that. I owe out 22 gems right now...that's why I keep the list to make sure I don't miss anyone and sending them back as quickly as possible. Too bad we can't atleast gift back to every person that gifts on any given day. My hubby is not much into these kind of games. He likes action type stuff. Not very patient! Lol

Yeh, I agree. No glitch for me. I'm not sure if it helped or not. I know I had to turn my ipad off several times last night because my gifting option was taking forever. I think it wa 1:25 am by the time I was able to send them. Ugh! I probably won't make it tonight but atleast I can send them out first thing in the morning then I'll be on a morning schedule sending them out again.

Lol! I woulda thought that for that many gems we should be popping rares at least every 5 tries....it seems random anyway...but I definitely refuse to give up

FINALLY got my air achievement today. Yay!! Took me forever as it only wanted to give me silver everytime. My dear little Willow worked hard today and I was a happy little Vegemite to have the achievement come up

OMG! I know what you mean. I can't get the plant achievement for nothing. I have evry other except that one even though I don't have all dragons. Had to of been a glitch because when I hatched my first reindeer it gave me all dragons and I'm missing moon. Go figure...congrats!

You have to go to the island slot in the market and it costs 125 gems...I had to buy the gems because I only get 1 or 2 gems a day on average as gifts and I often forget to check my colosseum to get the gems I win...so it would take too long but I'm not saying you have to buy the gems if you don't won't to!

Second try with Plant x Bluefire (after failing to get it with a couple of other combinations). Yay!
