See? Where do the - and the + come from? Shouldn't it be simply a black number? I'm so confused, I have been chasing sun and moon too long...my brain is turning to mush.

My cold booster gives the reindeer -20 cause it has plant and +20 cause it's cold

Both my rainbows came from gene theory seaweed left firefly right

Both reindeer came from snow on left and seaweed right

My sun came from scorch on left and snow right

My 48 hr breeding will be done in about 3 hours so I'll post what it is later but it was with scorch on left snow on right again trying for 2nd sun.

So how in earth do you bread a blazing dragon and a blue fire dragon?

Blazing is just air and fire, blue fire you can get by using ice and fire, fire and mountain, or any combo with a fire hybrid and a cold hybrid, but not fire and cold

For those interested the most well known is to breed a Blue Fire Dragon with a Crystal Dragon , other combinations so far are Ice/Scorch, Fire/Storm, Scorch/Storm, Storm/Mud, and Sonic/Blue Fire based off of these combonations, Moon's elements are Cold and Lightning. Due to Storm also being Cold and Lightning, the Moon Dragon is very hard to breed for most. I'm just saying.

yes, I know its parents were Snow and Seaweed. Snow is air and cold and gets negative from earth and plant boost. Seaweed is water and air and gets negative from lightning and cold boosts. To test I moved earth, plant and lightning boosts away (cold is on a different island anyway) and my little raindeer only makes 77 gold coins a minute

I'll have a second one in a few minutes. Let's see how this one does. Same parents.

Lol yeh, that's what I meant. I keep doing that but usually catch myself. I understand the snow and seaweed but did you get that snow and seaweed from that combo or did you get them maybe while trying for something else? Do you see what I mean? I haven't tracked them that well so for me on a lot of them I don't know if it was a straight forward breed with the easier one's or of they came while trying to breed something else. If they did come from something else there could be a element or two more...

Hmmm...that will bug me til it's figured out! Keep me posted and I'm gonna rack my brain unless someone else figured it out all ready...

Wow, you really have quite the list! I'm kinda glad I dont have that many to keep track of/return, even though it means I havent received that many, hehe. Thankfully (gratefully), I do now have my own list started (meaning I got some gems sent back to me YAY!). Yeah I wish we could just give back to anyone who gifted us too.

Yeh, the list is long but we all really keep them going back and forth so it's saving all of us money for not buying gems lol so it's worth it.

Me, three! Used Mud and storm on the breeding island. This will be my first true rare! I have blue fire, bone, and reindeer, but no moon, sun, or rainbow. Patience has paid off! I actually got my reindeer from the breeding island immediately before my 48 hour breeding time; it must have been my 10th time trying for reindeer- I was starting to get worried.

Is it possible that some combinations are more likely to produce rares at any given time, with the combo changing eve few days or some other time period? Could explain why some people get a rare quickly and others it takes 20-30 tries with the same combo. Thoughts?

It very well could be. I have thought that as well in the past.

Congrats on on your first rare! :thumbs: I think patience is very important for breeding the rares. As soon as I calmed down and had a little I've been getting them. Lol I'm taking a lot slower approach and it's payong off.

I put my reindeer on an island I have that has only snow and sun habitats and it collects 137-+

Mine is 3 snow habitats, 1 air habitat and no boosts and the are collecting 96 in the black

Are there certain requirements to breed the moon sun and rainbow dragons? Nothing I do is working.

The only thing I can tell you for sure is being persistant and patience. You will get them.

I just got home and my 48 hours was a moon! Yay! Same combo as from my sun. Scorch on left and snow on the right. It only took 3 tries this time and on the 3rd it was 48 hours. I'm going for it again since I switched after I got the sun and waisted so much time getting nothing. Hoping to get either my 2nd sun or moon now with the pair. BTW learning to have a little patience this is the first time I didn't buy or use the gems I have to speed things up! Lol

Thanks, I've actually been sleeping much better recently so it hasn't hit me as badly as it would have even a few weeks ago (Got 2 kids and the 15 month old has only recently started sleeping through the night. My 3 year old was the one keeping us awake last night though!). Sorry to hear you're sufferring from a bit a sleep deprivation too.

Oh I'm sure it is worth it. I'll ask though, would you like me to keep gifting you gems as well or would you rather stick with the list you have?

BTW: I just gave in and bought some gems (2 lots of 50 for a better deal! *grin*) and so my epic breeding island is on it's way! I always knew I'd cave, hehe. Upgraded my nursery (from 2 to 3) while I was in the gem spending frame of mind, LOL.

I will definitely have to try that combo as soon as I can (got some failed Sandstorm combos taking up the space for a bit longer yet, hehe)

I'm hoping someone may be able to give me an answer to something that's been bugging me:

When I look at my friends list in DragonVale, there are numbers (within circles) underneath/to the left of each name....so, maybe I am missing something obvious, but I cant work out what the numbers refer to
Does anyone know?
