What's new

Food anyone?

More cheese and much else today:

Calamari, antipasto tidbits galore, chicken picatta, pasta marinara. Moretti (Italian beer).

Iced lemon cake. Chai.

I don't even have room left for a toothpick.

Ahhh! Porridge oats and a cup of tea! -2°C outside and snow predicted

How about a recipe?

Here you are. I hope the wording isn't too blurred Julie. If it is, I will send a typescript.

I substituted the brown sugar with a soft dark brown variety for a better taste with a hint of molasses. It worked well.

There was an interesting article in London's Metro paper. It was about the invention of cooking bag which uses no energy.

A pot of hot food is placed in the bag to continue cooking in its own heat. The bag is extremely well insulated with recycled polystyrene.

The principle dissimilar to cooking " in the ground ".

It's great to see a superb invention come along.

And of course Metro is available on the iPad for free......which is way better than all those issues scattered across seats and the floor of the tube trains!
