Food anyone?

Well, the beer certainly didn't hurt, lol.

I've only ever had Kingfisher when it comes to Indian beers, and I find it drinkable, but too light.

How about Cobra?

One of the best I ever found was in Lahnstein-am-Rhein in Germany. The local brewery had a beer called St. Martin which was double brewed and very potent. Unfortunately, it only seemed to be available locally.

I do enjoy locally brewed fresh beer. It beats the gassy stuff.

Real ale is very hard to beat. Larkins brewery in Kent produce some fine ales. :)

I haven't tried it. I'm no beer expert, but I'm willing to try different ones and often get new ones from microbrews, wherever I am. When I drink it, it's usually with certain kinds of food and depending on mood. Lately, I've been drinking more beer than wine, and usually it's the other way around. I also like whiskey neat and some cocktails. But I don't like to have whiskey with food -- I'd rather have that on its own before or after meals, or on its own, to really enjoy it.

Beef and ale pie, or steak and kidney pie for the hot version.

A cold pork pi with Ploughman's pickle, cheddar cheese and a mixed leaf salad on the side is delicious.

I was going to post about spiced ham but realised that I couldn't as that would be spam!
