Food anyone?

Sorry AA but Lyle's golden syrup is my one and only precious! I'll eat maple but it's a definite low down the list second. Those peanut cups are yum too!

Out of the strong came forth sweetness.

Funny how you remember some things for ever. It's been years since I saw a can of Lyles. Do they still do it in cans? Or has it gone to plastic now along with everything else.

Yes to both. There is a squeezy bottle but we still get the tin. Two sizes available.

Yum having six-herb linguine tomorrow night. It uses sage, thyme, oregano, basil, rosemary, parsley, chives... Mm, mm! Cant wait! Here's a link for the recipe. Six-Herb Linguine Recipe - Good Housekeeping
Just had the pasta tonight. When you're actually looking at the pasta, it looks very plain and unflavorful (it appears to be pasta with little bits of herb on it), but it is actually quite flavorful! I highly recommend checking it out!
LOL I just quoted myself!

We prefer the squeeze bottle. It's less messy and avoids the problem of a tin rusting during long term storage. ;)

How do you use it -- as a topping, for drinks or what?

We use it as a baking ingredient, or as a topping for cereal or on toast instead of honey. It's a pleasure eating it on it's own too. Yum mm.

The colour is as staed on the tin. It's quite viscous in consistency.

I put it in my natural yoghurt, on bananas, waffles, pancakes, flapjacks, biscuits etc...

I woke up to the smell of bacon cooking this morning. Oh yes, it is going to be a very good Sunday indeed.

Reading these last posts...I could eat my iPad right now, but realized it wouldn't taste as good as the real thing. Time to make oatmeal and bananas on top!

Oatmeal and bananas sound good. I usually have a protein shake for breakfast, hence why I get so excited about waking up to the smell of bacon on Sundays.

I wouldn't blame you, I'm excited for you! My hubbie will usually surprise me like that at times!

Yum, bacon!
I'm having apple scones. Deelish!
Going out for pizza for lunch. Yum! Cheese, pepperoni, mushroom, black olive!!!

Well I had boiled eggs with sunflower, pumpkin, sesame, bran flakes, poppy seed in it. It's called multigrain. Hubby sells it on his bakery market stall. My favourite. I've just prepared the chicken with lemon juice, herbs, garlic, stuffing etc... And put it in a chicken crock. We are having it with roasted veg. Can't wait.
