Speaking of syrup, we're having waffles today. My husband makes the batter and I "help" by throwing in chocolate chips, nuts or whatever into the batter. Then I triumphantly declare that I helped cook, lol.

Under those circumstances we could say that the submarine service utilized canned sailors.:D

Be hard to get it through the supermarket checkout.......I'm not even sure if they have a bar code so that it can be swiped?

Agreed, the U-Boat I saw in Chicago was over 230' long. I didn't see a bar code anywhere.;)

Well that explains it, the patent for the bar code is held by an American, otherwise we would all be scanning submarines at the checkout right now!

Sorry AA but Lyle's golden syrup is my one and only precious! I'll eat maple but it's a definite low down the list second. Those peanut cups are yum too!
