You bought the Marrons Glacé! I'll send my mom right over to help you snack on those...hehe!

I love the description of your mince pies with a dusting of pine sugar. It sounds just wonderfully delicious! I'd probably eat the lock as well! :)

Both the Marrons Glacé and the Mince Pies are not likely to make it until tomorrow!!! Your mum is welcome, that's why I bought two jars!

Yes, Christmas Pudding.....do you not have that in the USA? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas_pudding

Being that it's by Heston Blumenthal it has a twist in that in the centre is an entire candied clementine, to quote the box....."as it cooks, the essential oils from the clementine peel infuse the pudding from the inside out"!

I just picked up a few festive treats for Christmas but somehow I don't see them lasting until then! A Heston Blumenthal Hidden Clementine Christmas Pudding, Heston Blumenthal Puff Pastry Mince Pies with Pine Sugar Dusting and my favourite thing of all, Marrons Glacé........

I'm sure this is being advertised here now, Heston Blumenthal....is it a candied or glazed whole orange in the centre of a pudding? Looked delicious!

This is my trial run with the smaller pudding, the big one for Christmas Day has the whole orange in it.....I've been eating a lot of the Heston range recently and so far everything is amazing. BTW, I believe a couple of his chefs were killed in a road accident in Hong Kong (I think?) yesterday.

You'd have to be fast......and I don't think that even Usain Bolt is that fast!

I am sure we do have that here, but I don't think any of our family has ever brought it or made it...I believe we call it bread pudding here. When I hear pudding at first call... I think more of a liquid, creamy textured pudding.

Your pudding looks just delicious with the infused flavors of clementine. A double yum yum! :)

We do have bread pudding which does have a similar texture but Christmas Pudding is something else.......you've just got to try it!

They are actually quite hard to get even here......and quite expensive but very definitely worth the expense!

They are really delicious, Skimonkey. The large and the small versions. ;)

Guess where I'm heading tomorrow! :). Luckily we have the supermarket which stocks Heston's foods a 5 or 6 minute walk away.

I don't think I tried one last year but I can't be sure!!!

I happened to be passing Waitrose today.....sort of! Normally they deliver as the closest one is a significant drive away so the delivery saves on petrol.

I'm going to try and find them for Christmas....just love puddings and its a traditional treat here. I'll have to hide it from my mum though....she made hers a month ago and they are waiting for the chocolate frosting.... Yes chocolate frosting, she started doing it a few years ago and gees they are delicious.

That's just awful about those Chefs Gab! :(

Chocolate frosting on a Christmas pudding! People have been deported from the UK for crimes like that!

It used to be tradition when I was young to hide a sixpence in the pudding......at least I think it was tradition, it could have just been my parents trying to kill me off!

Yes, what a terrible thing to happen to those chefs, I just caught it on the news whilst I was driving home.
