What's new

Have any scratches, dings, or nicks on your iPad?

I have none.:D One a one. I check every time I let the battery drain completely. The only time it turns off ~ gets a good cleaning!

Brand new and as smooth as the day I got it!

You?

I have one little tiny ding in the corner because the day I got it and opened it I bumped it against the wall...I was annoyed, then put on the case and hid it forever!

Oh good! Thank goodness for cases! Last night I dropped the control to the TV on it ~ I thought I was gonna cry.

I guess it landed on the rubbers buttons as there was not one mark.

This time.:D

The display has some scratches and nicks, some from banging around in my briefcase, others from use. I still prefer it's lived-in look to carrying around a case all the time.

Haven't had mine long & its still mint. Really like the OB case and screen protector so hopefully it will stay that way!

NONE! :)
Im glad I put on the screen protector otherwise it would have suffered a scratch. My fault, I bought some cheap stylus hoping it'll work but did'nt . my screen protector suffered the scratch.

Your plastic screen protector....more than likely your glass screen would have been just fine.

I have a small scratch on the glass. Not sure why... No drops, etc. It isn't really noticeable unless the unit is off.

Still not enough the convince me to loose my nice smooth finish to a screen protector. I use the apple case as it adds almost no bulk but still provides a bit of protection while in my computer bag.

the only thing im annoyed is the 2 tiny air bubbles it got when i applied the screen protector.

I could never put on a screen protector of any kind either. My soft leather case protects it just find when not in use and in use IF I don't forget to close it, it is fine.

I did steal my way cool HP Mini case last night and now it is really protected while in my briefcase. I love that case. I didn't think it would fit being in its leather case.

But my poor Mini. I need to get another one for him. I always wondered if cases for the mini's would fit the iPad.

Perfect fit, man.:D

Surprised by how well it's stood up to the constant abuse tbh.
Used daily and been dropped, splashed, abused by a two year old etc., and it looks like new, whereas I have noticeably aged (due to aforesaid 2yr old).

I have a protective case but I can't use it with my charger/stand and it's a pain in the behind to put it on and take it off. This is my second iPad, I've had it since Friday and I've dropped it 3 times already.

It seems to me that either a lot of thought went into making these things as slippery as possible forcing you to buy a case or no thought went into it at all. Last night I fell asleep reading with it and when I got up this morning it slid right out of bed to the carpeted floor. No damage.

I think screen protectors are pretty useless when it comes to glass. I don't know what kind of glass the iPad uses, hopefully it's Gorilla Glass but it's real difficult to scratch glass and if you're going to break the glass a screen cover won't help IMHO.

My first iPad I sent back to them had a little chip where the volume control was at. I didn't notice it until I was packing it to resend to them. I'm hopeful the don't see it either.
