A report in the NY Times says that around half of all the people that waited in line for the iPad 2, immediately sold them to an oriental in a BMW for a profit of $1-200 each. It appears that they were making the return trip to China and area. So if you did not get one, welcome to the computer equivalent of scalping.

I just read where the. NYC flagship store has seniors standing in line, going into the store and buying the two pad limit and then turning them over to scalpers that ship them overseas to sell at huge profits. The problem should die down when it goes on sale internationally on Friday.

Well, as a "senior", when I finally get my iPad 2, any scalper will have to "pry it from my cold dead fingers!"

Dang, well that's an easy way to make a profit..lol. Tons of people doing that on eBay n craigslist also. Once internationally sold, it will cease as their profit margins will decrease dramatically unless there is a shortage.

Same thing happened with the iPhone 1 only not just seniors were doing it.
