I am new. Need help with white screen

Today I live streamed a conference for the first time.
when I was done, i could not turn my iPad off. i tried to do a complete close holding both buttons but it did not work. then, a white screen was there.
my iPad still makes sounds like its receiving mail etc...
i need help getting it back to normal if possible.
Any advice is welcome and greatly appreciated.

When was the last time you charged your iPad? Plug it in to charge it, let it do so at least for 10 or 20 minutes, then see if the white screen disappears.

If it doesn't, force restart your iPad. Press and hold Home and Power button until you see the Apple logo. Let go of both buttons as soon as you see it. Your device will power up on it's own.

The next option would be to restore your iPad, using iTunes. Make sure there's a most recent backup before you do so, if possible.
