Hi I joined in and came across this thread.I found this site very informative,and everyone very helpful in sorting problems..Anyways..I am planning to have my iphone within a few days so very excited..as in am highly satisfied and happy with my wifi ipad(64GB) that I got in july...very anxious to get the iphone now.
Hello from New Jersey! Yup, I'm an iPad newbie. In fact, bought my first Nano a few months prior. It's all so intimidating, and quite frankly, I'm bothered by some of the limitations I'm just learning about (I know, my own fault). Anyway, thats why I am here...to find out more about it, and learn something. Gotta say tho, I'm loving it! I

Welcome, Kelly! That is awesome you guys bought your son an iPad! Does he love it?
He absolutely loves it. Right now his favorite app is Talking Tom. I put on a few games and a lot of educational apps. He's wanted a laptop forma long time, but honestly they just aren't accessible enough for him. I love thr iPad cause it has a simple interface and I think he can learn to use it completely on his own.

I guess I should have realised there would be a forum for the iPad.
I have had mine since end of May and am enjoying it a LOT!
I realise there are way cool apps I still don't know about and more to learn about my iPad so I am looking forward to browsing here!

Hi Guys, I have just started with the iPad. Not as easy as I thought ! Hit my first problem syncing Outlook 2007 Calendar and the appointment times in iPad show about 11 hours earlier than in Outlook. Any ideas ?
I live in Cape Town and am looking forward to the start of summer !

New iPad owner to-be
Hi, I'm Jamie, and live in Central Florida. I'm waiting for my refurbished iPad to arrive ( didn't realize it was coming from China ). I hope to get it tomorrow.
I'm new to most Apple products, although I do have a old Mac G4 cube which I bought used, with OS X on it, but I don't use it because it is so sluggish. I'm more experienced with Windows, and have dabbled with Ubuntu Linux.
The reason I am getting an iPad, is that I have multiple disabilities, and health problems. I can no longer sit at a desktop PC comfortably, so I need to be in a recliner or in bed.
I almost bought a windows laptop, but I kept hearing about the ipad is more friendly to those with disabilities, which I hope is true.
I am getting a 16gb refurbished ipad which uses Wifi. I really hope I made the right choice, because it's a very expensive purchase to me.
I will probably use it mainly for e-mail, facebook, twitter, web surfing. I'll also use Netflix, and maybe Pandora. I am thinking about getting Hulu Plus also.
For an early Anniversary/Christmas present, I am getting my wife a new iPod Touch. I know she is looking forward to getting it. It looks like it will be a few days behind my iPad in delivery.
Any advice will be gratefully appreciated.

Hi Iain Cliffe here, just bought iPad and sorry to start off with a question but a bit hacked off with being tied to o2 UK tarrifs. I have tried cutting down as a PAYG o2 sim and using that but keeps asking me to register the unit to a number that never answers. I have put the original o2 iPad sim back in and it works immediately. Does anyone now a way around this?
