We called them Double Uglies. They are not even usable as bait.

Then then there was the occasional fish that had bright blue blood. Never had the courage to see if they were edible.

Yes never eat those blue-blooded fish or you'll wake up the next morning and dress for polo.

Wow, I had no idea that you really are what you eat. For a time I was eating lots monk fish which is a deep water, very dense and tasty fish. So far as I know I don't look like Friar Tuck.... 8)

Mmmmm...halibut. Is that you in the Helly Hansens, Iriana? It's always nice to have faces to put to names... :)

Last time I went halibut fishing, it seemed all I could catch was 50-pound lingcod. Talk about all mouth. We had a discussion on the boat whether the black bass one of them coughed up should count toward my limit. I thought my arms would fall off that day. I don't even enjoy eating lingcod that much.

Honestly, I would rather throw flies at silvers. On my first trip to Alaska, my buddy and I each caught about 100 salmon (silvers, pinks, and chums) a day for five days; we'd quit for dinner when we no longer had the strength to lob another fly at the fish. Sometimes, even I get lucky!

Not me. That's my husband.

You're so lucky to catch so many salmon.

I love fly-fishing. Took a course on fly tying. I've got a box of home made flies and all the tools to tie them at the river or where ever I might be fishing. I LOVE to go fishing.

Here I am at the helm. I'm a bit camera shy on Internet.
