Kevin, did you ever go to the fantastic Liard Hot Springs in British Colombia???

You'd recognize these....

First you see this sign and it's very true.

Then you step on the looooooong elevated wooden walkway.

Finally you're at the hot springs.

The pool nearest to the railing is VERY HOT. The pool in the distance is hot in the top part where there is a waterfall about two feet tall. Water cools down as you go further down the pool....

It will cure what ever ails you. At least for a while.

Yes. I saw a bear heading to the campground close to there about 6 o'clock one morning. I think the smell of bacon frying was attracting him.

I used to stay at the log cabin opposite the entrance to the hot springs. Truckers get a discount there.

There are fish there that have evolved to survive in the hot water and can't live anywhere else.

Where did you take your bison photograph, Iriana? Mine was on an oilfield road called the Fontas. It's about 200 km north of Ft St John.

I used to drive through the bison reserve between Ft Providence and Yellowknife.

You're so lucky to catch so many salmon.

I love fly-fishing. Took a course on fly tying. I've got a box of home made flies and all the tools to tie them at the river or where ever I might be fishing. I LOVE to go fishing.

Here I am at the helm. I'm a bit camera shy on Internet.

Years ago, I read something similar to Kevin's post. I didn't take a picture, but I remember the words:
