Especially for Larry C who has a hummingbird site.

A rare treat... an albino hummingbird! Something that is
seldom seen and almost NEVER photographed

Fifteen-year-old photographer Marlin Shank was fortunate enough to capture
several images of a rare albino ruby-throated hummingbird while in a park in
Staunton , Va
Very high quality photographs for such a fleeting subject

Amazing, thank you for finding these!

Hope it makes up for breaking the rules yesterday. Thanks, I was astonished to know never mind see an albino hummingbird! And such a young photographer taking photos with such clarity! Thanks again.

Did both of you see our Ferris Wheel.....I'm sure it was only erected because of yours. There's also 1 down the coast too.

Glad you both like it....it is a wonderful Park!

We'll call the one you photographed "The Brisbane Eye". Seems rounder somehow than this one:)

I haven't spotted it. However,on maps I found that the pedestrian bridge is called the Goodwill Bridge which links Southbank with the Botanical Gardens.

It depends on the angle at which you view it ;)

OK, I've spotted it now. I hadn't scrolled back to your first batch of photos! :(

I couldn't help but see that War Horse is on at the theatre. Have you seen it yet? The puppetry is great. I've only see extracts on TV and intend to catch the show.

Yes that's it Richard, the Bridge and Gardens are right next door to the Uni my eldest attended...she used that bridge many times!

It's much smaller than yours......I'm not sure if they even do well from it.

No, haven't seen that show, but there are quite a few on at the moment and we were looking at the flyers as well.

That's an interesting building Johanna. The facade seems to have a Dutch influence. Is there a story behind that?

That's what houses here looked like long time ago. This is one of the last few that still exist. No one exactly knows it's age. It's supposed to be about 250 years.

I liked War Horse a lot. Caution: bring lots of Kleenex, your sniffy button will be pushed.

I banded a leucistic (not quite albino) hummingbird. Here's the web page: Moderator edit: No external links per rule 7.
