The Next Web writes that the introduction of iOS 6 means that you will soon have the facility to upload media content to your WordPress blog via your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. A spokesperson for Automattic told The Next Web that future releases of WordPress and WordPress.com will include support for the ability to upload photos and videos to blogs, starting from later this year, once iOS 6 is introduced this September. This has been made possible because in iOS 6, Apple has updated the mobile Safari browser to enable the uploading of photos and videos from a device’s Photo Library via HTML. The Next Web notes that at present, the method of uploading media to your WordPress blog via mobile Safari is not particularly easy to the layperson. It can be done manually, but it takes a fair bit of technical nous to get to grips with. And as they also note, this new feature of iOS is a “game changer,†meaning that blogger and publishers will be able to publish entire articles, including accompanying videos and photos, from their iPad instead of their laptop.
