Pinterest has released the updated iPad app for iOS 7 in the AppStore which now comes with a visual redesign and speedier navigation thanks to new menus. iPad users will see related boards while pinning an item and a menu across the bottom of the screen.
Today we’re shining the spotlight on our brand new iPad app, which is new and improved for the holidays. We gave it a fresh new look for iOS 7, made it faster, and even added some new features! Now you can get to your profile, notifications and more from the handy menu at the bottom—it’ll always be there when you need it.
The previous version of the Pinterest app featured a menu bar that slid out from the left hand side of the screen. As we can see, it’s now easier to share and locate related boards, as users simply need to tap and hold down on a pin they like, and a small menu will pop up. You will then be able to share that pin, or search for other related content.
Also, when you want to Pin something new from your iPad, the most recent boards that you have used will be showed. In its blog post, Pinterest says that three extra secret boards have been made available with this update for “keeping all your holiday giving ideas under wraps”. Download the update Pinterest app by following the AppStore link from below to see what these secret boards are about.
Pinterest was founded by Ben Silbermann, Paul Sciarra and Evan Sharp in March, 2010 and currently has more than 140 employees. The most recent round of equity funding that Pinterest has won values the website at $3.8 billion.
