Blessing of the animals via St. Francis of Assisi Day. We are Buddhists (Miles licks my lips when I am chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo). But we take all the blessings we can get. So funny to be sitting a pew with a dog waiting for a friend with her poodle

That photo was taken near the animal hospital where I take my kitties for checkups.

Cool!!! I went to a place in Brooklyn on recommendation, can't think of the name right now but you have to be careful with these vets trying over vaccinate and find every possible thing "wrong" with your pet to hike up the bill. I am a new dog owner and they gave Miles a lepto shot which is unnecessary and potentially bad for him as a small dog and then they wanted me to come back for boosters in like a month for each of the shots he got that day. It's not like going to the human primary doctor. Oh well, live and learn. That's why I prefer the non-profit places as they care more about your pet than your pocketbook.

You are absolutely right tl, we managed to find a minimalist vet here in NOTL who believes in doing only what is needed for a healthy animal. Compared to some of the other places we have been to it is refreshing. Now if only we could find a dentist with the same philosophy. ;)
