In SEVEN DAYS FROM SUNDAY, a beautiful young Iraqi woman, kidnapped by a terrorist, escapes his clutches and goes to the Americans inside the Green Zone for help. But instead of protecting her, they ask her to go back to the terrorist and do as he asks. Why? Because they know he is planning a devastating attack in the next few days and time is running out on finding out what the attack is and stopping it.

That, and the fact that all is fair in love and war. And we are at war.

Coercion, a crime novel set in Oak Villa, a fictitious Chicago suburb, is about:

Boris Shalakov, a feared mob enforcer, has devised a scheme to steal millions from an armored car. Jimmy Mills, a detective who moonlights for the mob as an enforcer to pay off his gambling debts, decides to get even. When Mills learns Piotr Serotov, a mobster, is working as a CI on the heist to avoid a gun charge, he forces Serotov to be his reluctant ally in a mutually parasitic relationship.

Plastic Prophets of Vinyl Redemption

Joining the fray...

I've just published an elaborately illustrated book in the iBookstore, Plastic Prophets of Vinyl Redemption. The book takes advantage of the extensions to the EPUB standard Apple introduced this past December to provide for the creation of fixed-layout books with full-bleed pages, two-page spreads, and all the zooming, flipping, and panning you would expect from a digital coffee table book.

The book includes hundreds of photos, sketches, and behind-the-scenes images chronicling the nine month effort to prepare for the first major solo exhibition of my surreal fine art photography. Within the 135 pages are 11,000 words of commentary, analysis and "fun facts" as each photo is explored and dissected to reveal the underlying process behind the creation of these dreamlike images.

The book is now on sale for the bargain price of $3.99 in the iBookstore!

I'm also planning a future blog post detailing the rather clever and unexpected way I was able to create this book without InDesign, Pages, or any high-end publishing applications!

SUMMER SALE

All my CIA thrillers now only 99 cents.
In SEVEN DAYS FROM SUNDAY, Iraq's leading terrorist has made good on every promise he has ever made. Now he promises a devastating attack in just seven days. With the clock ticking, a small CIA team crosses paths with an Iraqi family who have ties to the terrorist. But whose side are they on?

In the sequel, THE SHOT TO DIE FOR, that same family comes to the CIA team asking them to help find a family member – kidnapped by a Palestinian terrorist cell. But why would a Palestinian cell be in Iraq? And why are Iraq's major banks suddenly collapsing?

In OPERATION SPIDER WEB a 20-year old Afghan woman knows when a meeting will take place in a Kandahar City home with top Taliban leaders. When she passes that information on to an elite CIA team stationed at the Kandahar Air Base, it sets in motion a chain of events that soon spiral out of control. At risk – her life as well as her family members. At stake – a pending attack on Air India passenger jets. In jeopardy – the stability of the entire Middle East.
The U.K. newspaper, The Telegraph, calls Yemen a "lawless" region where al Qaeda has flourished in the Arabian Peninsula.

A year ago last Christmas, the underwear bomber came to light – trained in Yemen. The Fort Hood assassin regularly corresponded with an imam from Yemen. The recent parcel bombs on cargo planes originated in Yemen.

More than 25% of girls under the age of 15, are married. Usually to men old enough to be their father. Some as young as 10 years old are forced into "marriage."

Yet here, the Catholic Church has worked tirelessly to help the poor.

The recently released THE YEMEN CONNECTION combines all these issues in a taut thriller.

I've just released Fistful of Reefer, the first in the Reeferpunk series. It's a pulpy, dieselpunk, weird-Western. If you're looking for something fresh and different that features quirky characters, witty dialogue and heart-pumping action then give it a try.

It's an action-packed human story in a sensational environment--1918 borderlands of Texas/Mexico.

"Burned - Living Through the 80s and 90s as a Rock Guitarist" by Bobby DeVito

It's an autobiography of my 20 years in the music business, my eventual downfall into drug and alcohol abuse after losing my major label record deal, and going from playing to 20,000 people in Europe back to 20 drunks in a bar in Florida.

It's only 99 cents at Amazon, and has consistently been in the top 100 sellers in the genres the book is in.

Two of my friends that are in the book have died recently -- Mike Starr from Alice in Chains, and Jani Lane from Warrant -- just this week :(

It's the wildest ride for 99 cents available in eBook form!

Black Ops: Libya

Black Ops: Libya - the first thriller of the Libyan War - is now out on iBook.

Tripoli: 2011. The most dangerous place on earth. Unit Five, a NATO Special Forces squad specialising in Black Ops, drops two of its most experienced men into the city. Former SAS man Alex Marden and ex-Navy Seal Jack Rogan are sent to retrieve a document that, if it fell into the hands of rebel forces, would cause the downfall of the British and American governments.

But they are soon caught up in the chaos surrounding the collapse of the regime of the old dictator Colonel Zayed.

And they are thrown into a conspiracy in which only they are expendable.

Black Ops: Libya is a terrifyingly realistic action thriller ripped straight from the headlines.

It is a brand-new novella from Matt Lynn, the best-selling author of the ‘Death Force’ series of adventure thrillers, including ‘Death Force’, ‘Fire Force’, ‘Shadow Force’ and ‘Ice Force’.

Matt Lynn's books have received a series of five-star reviews.

Union of Renegades: The Rys Chronicles Book I

Hello iPad users I sought out this forum to inform you about my epic fantasy novels because the iBooks crowd has actually been quite receptive to my work. As I write this Union of Renegades currently has 4.5 stars from 15 ratings. The even better news for you is that it's free.

I give this novel away in the hopes of luring you into my evil trap of hard-hitting fantasy entertainment.

About the novel:
Dreibrand Veta has killed for his country. At the frontlines of imperial expansion, he seeks to rebuild the fortune of his noble family. In his daring travels he encounters the rys, a race far more powerful than the human empire that bred him. Dreibrand cannot defy the rys Queen Onja nor defend his companion, Miranda, and her children from the wicked tyrant Queen.
Desperate for help, Dreibrand and Miranda join Shan, a rys with emerging powers who plans to challenge Onja. In Shan’s pursuit of the rys throne, he exerts his magical powers, gathers his allies, and incites rebellion among Onja’s human subjects.
Great wealth and power will reward the kings, warriors, and spies that align themselves with the rys pretender, but defeat could mean worse than death. Onja can imprison souls and her genocidal rage is legendary. Everything is at risk for Shan’s union of renegades.

This novel leads into three more novels that complete The Rys Chronicles series: The Goddess Queen, Judgment Rising, and The Borderlands of Power.

I also released another novel late summer that kicks off the new prequel Rys Rising series in the same fantasy world.

Rys Rising: Book I

This novel is 99 cents in the iBooks store and it has been well received by my fans who downloaded at my website, but it has not gotten much attention yet at iBooks.

About the novel:

An outlaw rises to become a dreaded warlord, the terror of kings. He takes the name Amar and seeks to join the Kez, the fiercest mercenary society in the tribal kingdoms of Gyhwen. His fearless ambition is inspired by Onja, a mysterious rys female whose magic has shaped Amar into a loyal friend. He zealously pursues her every command and hopes to join her in her mythic homeland of Jingten. But he knows little about the challenges confronting Onja. She and all rys are the reviled creations of the tabre of Nufal, and Onja longs to expel her hated masters. To liberate the rys, she knows that she will need more than Amar's help. Onja sees her best hope for an ally in Dacian, a prodigy among rys, but he is loyal to the ruling tabre order and dreams of winning equality for the rys nonviolently. He holds tenaciously to his ideals even as the tabre brutally subjugate him. Will he endure more dark abuses for the sake of peace or reach out to Onja? And what fate is Amar blindly embracing as he kills for her? Like a tree crashing in a storm, all civilizations will crack when hit by the force of the rys rising.

Just search for "Tracy Falbe" at iBooks. Thanks for looking and enjoy reading.

I wonder if anyone of You could test my book in epub-format, in iPad or iPhone? I just publish ("testing" service) book of my mtb-adventure at Blurb Print On Demand-shop. After that, they made available a new iPad/iPhone ebook-version of the book too, but i can't test the book my self (no iPad/iPhone). There seems to be some problems with new epub-version (layout, wide 2 page images etc.), so I'd like to know how my book look like. iPad emulators show it badly wrong...

You don't have to by my book, just send privat message, please, and I send you link to my ebook (it's about 80 Mb/120 pages). And original flash-book link to the Blurb-shop, so You can compare. I's really like to see a image of how it looks in iPad!

Tested, thanks to Tim. Works fine, only font has changed to some default font. Many nice book's at Blurb.com, my book is UKK hiking trail | By Artzi 2011 | Category: Sports & Adventure | Blurb (search for "UKK hiking"), if anyone like to see it (some testing... color management is not very good, I know). Free flash-version there, too.
