Yeah, I didn't realize until my wife discovered it the other day that it'll continue to play music with the smart cover closed. I guess we just have to be careful what apps we leave open.

This behavior seems to be related to a problem I'm having...

The difference is that my iPad sometimes starts playing music after I close the cover when I haven't been using the iPod app, at all. But this occurs only when I put the iPad in my bag.
