It's marked in the Commonwealth countries on November 11th. The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month,
to commemorate the signing of the Armistice and the end of the First World War in 1918.

It's generally called Remembrance Day. Some say "Poppy Day" or Armistice Day.
In the U.S. it's observed as Veterans Day.

Well obviously people here in Sou Africa are as uninformed as me. That is a sad thing.

Christmas - presents
Thanks giving - turkey
Easter - eggs
9/11 - minute of silence
Etc....

Yay! Anyone else update to IOS5.01? I've got multi gestures. Yippee!!! It's like a new iPad. No synch to laptop. Hallelujah. Straight into iPad itself.

There better be the lyrics option now, I don't have that now. I loved singing along with my songs, why'd they have to change it

Oh! I didn't check. See ya in a minute!

Nope! I don't see any but then I can't remember which ones had lyrics. I need to play more but my album cover art seems to be working nicely now. Whereas before it used to brick the app andi had to reset to get it back! I also didn't know you could swipe left or right to change the song. Is that multi gestures in action?

We observe Remembrance day here in Australia. Poppies are a symbol of it. All our RSL Clubs (Returned Service League) will hold ceremonies today. It is marked with 1 minutes silence at 11am. Always gives me goosebumps.
