Thanks, scifan, just what I need. Just realised that I have a YouTube app which I'd forgotten about. I will try that with your tutorial.

Here's the next try (my mail details needed tweaking)

Yes, it works. Good to tuck that into the know-how satchel :-)

Fabulous. Miss their unique humour. Don't remember this sketch but well worth the watch. Thanks!

Anyone live in an engineered neighbourhood with by laws that govern exterior colours for buildings and articles that can be visible on your property like clotheslines, fire pits etc.

AA

Yup. I do. Oddly, you cannot paint with colors that are not considered authentic for the period. I knew someone that knew the original colors the builder used in 1918 or thereabouts. He was not allowed to use the ORIGINAL colors because the clashed with other houses.

So much for the BS that is our Historical Society.

Can't believe you missed that before?! but then, you have the pleasure of watching it for the First Time:-)
Isn't it just GREAT to watch these again? All of them.
Don't know which is my favourite.

Think it has to be the "Andrew Preview" one:

For anyone who isn't familiar with these two much-loved comedians, they regularly invited very well known celebrities onto their shows, where they abused & humiliated them...sounds dreadful but it was just hilarious. Their Christmas specials were watched by almost everyone, and many of us miss them dreadfully now, including me.

It appears that the long postulated Higgs Boson,or God Particle may indeed exist.

Thanks to stranding for putting me on to this.

Thanks to scifan for forwarding the news to this thread & finding the N.Geographic link which gives a good resume of what it's all about.

So much for going to bed (now 1.15am :-)) but we are intrigued by the interesting scenario developing as we watch.

We have just watched the video issued by CERN about the Higgs Boson news on the Daily Telegraph newspaper (UK) site, but they have now just taken it off again, leaving a video-shaped gap.

The CERN news was leaked somehow & presumably the papers dare not tread longer where they might get burnt. The spokesman ended the video by saying the news was "pretty darned significant". Which must mean the scientists themselves are getting a bit itchy.

It is now "tomorrow" here, so presumably it's a go with the news.

I bet you that within 2 months of completion, a utility company or two will be along to dig holes to do essential works. That happens so often in the UK.

Then, will they be along to refurbish the footpaths?

After the roadbed is completed, the sidewalks will be repaired. The last thing done will be paving the street.
