Life isn't easy. You will find someone. It can be fun looking though. :)

Yes, very sad. How long was the company in production? Hopefully they can start afresh somewhere.

St. Albert Cheese was founded in 1894.
It is the first Francophone dairy cooperative in Canada.

Here's a close up view of a piece of meteoritic iron that's older than the Earth itself.

My friend says that every pot has a lid. There's someone for everyone---there is someone for you.

I have just received an email from one of my Canadian cousins.

He had forwarded a tale called " Sack lunches". Google it and check out the heartbeat radio and TV archive.

It's quite some story.

Sorry for not being around a lot lately.

Things got busy with work and life.

In a nutshell, my mother died on November 20 after being sick and bedridden for the past 2 years with congestive heart failure.

Then, we find out this weekend that my father, who had been taking care of my mother, now has an inoperable brain tumor the size of a baseball. The only treatment would add 5-6 months to his life but wouldn't improve the current state he's in. He now has about 6 weeks left.

Sorry to come in and drop this on everyone, but it's what I've been dealing with lately. I'll pop in when I can.

Hi Robertic,

I'm so sorry to read your devastating news. Please don't apologise. I really feel for you and your family. At least, let's hope that your father won't be in too much discomfort.

My thoughts are with you.

Richard

robertlc, I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your mother and the short time left for your father. I've lost both parents and know how you must feel. Don't worry about the forum, the most important thing you can do right now is to be there for your father, for as long as he needs you.

Hi, robertIc! Sorry for your loss! I think that everyone will understand why you had no time to post in iPF. It's very hard to cope with those things.
I wish you strength to get through everything that's still waiting for you.

So sorry to hear this Robert. I have been wondering where you have been lately. Will be thinking of you.
