Watching all the coverage for a category 5 cyclone which will hit North Queensland late tonight.
It's already killed over 20 people in the Solomon Islands and has picked up strength on the way to us.
Whole towns have been evacuated and anyone in a pre 1985 house have been told to get out now.
It just ain't going to be good at all!

We should be fine, I haven't heard anything of it coming down this far south....we will maybe just get some rain from it.
It just doesn't look good by all reports.....they're likening it to the one which hit the Phillippines last year.
Just hope that everyone stays safe!!

A very pleasant surprise for whoever owned it I'm sure......I wonder if they will ever drive it though and the insurance must cost an arm and a leg too!!

yes i am a car and aeroplane enthusiast, wish i was a photography enthusiast too, because i don't like carrying bulk with me i have missed out on many photo opportunities, its only thanks to phone cameras which fit in my pocket and have it with me that i have able to build a photo library. Thank god for the phone camera's, as they say the best camera is the one you have in the right time and moment, my phone is always with me. I cannot carry a proper camera with with, to much bulk
Well they really did dodge a bullet here.....the cyclone hit landfall above major towns and then went inland and is heading south behind them.
It's also lessened in intensity.....still some damage but nowhere near what was thought.....
Not out of the fire yet though......now everyone is bracing for flooding.

I'm with you! I was always missing something if I forgot my camera and it was a chore to have to carry it all the time.
I use my iPhone also, it's much better than past cameras I've had so it's enough for me and does the job! It's just so much easier!
