Haylee, that was GREAT!! How are you enjoying your new job? Despite being happy it's Friday! Give Shamrock a hug for me OK?

Oh, so you are off the farm for awhile? Do you miss it?
Or is the school close enough so you can go from home?
Home on weekends at least?

:) Peace begins with a smile :)

No, I'm lucky to have the use of a field next door and my school is 4 miles away. But of course that won't be my place of work in two months time. Sad but I'm thinking maybe it's for the best because now I want to leave NOW!

Well, he's at home with me so I just need to find a job to allow me to pay for his field! I'm having a few problems with colleagues and am now looking forward to leaving. I'm hoping to go for the bakery job.

Oooh, wouldn't THAT be fun! To smell THAT smell all day long? Haylee did you see "moonstruck"? The movie?

There really are so many horror stories out there about employers and colleagues....I worked in the public service straight out of school....on my first day of work the Manager telling me what my duties were was playing with the hem of my dress as he stood beside me, I kept moving away and he kept getting closer....I was too young and too scared to do or say anything about it at the time and just couldn't wait to get away from him....I wonder how many young girls he did that to and just how far he took it. I can't say it was the last time either and it was quite disgusting just what some would do or say to all the young girls.... We've been running our own businesses now for the last 25 years, so now we deal with the other side of the coin and I can say there's a whole culture out there that have just taken advantage of us and the system. Luckily over the years we've built up and retained some wonderful employees who we go that extra step for to help them and they do the same for us! Only last week hubby played chauffeur for our Foreman's daughter who was graduating high school and attending her prom. What a wonderful time she and her date had as did we! :)

A big WOW!!! I am sorry you had to go through that!!!

A big Thank you! I look back on it now and wish I had had the gumption to slap him, but it was my first bad experience and I just didn't know what to do, but heck I was only 15 and he damn well knew it!!

Thank goodness that type of thing has been addressed in the workplace and now there are laws against any type of harassment. Just wish that stopped this type altogether though!

You live, you learn and I'd slap them silly now and have done!! ;)

Reading your post makes it clear what a horrible experience you went through leelai, made worse by that being your first day at work, and you haven't forgotten it. It adds to a better understanding of how those young girls felt with Rolf Harris at his worst, and the silliness of those criticisms about why they waited so long to come forward.
If found guilty, I'm sure they'll be tying old Jake the Peg Leg's kangaroo down tightly.
