Richard,I get at least 3 a week! scams I mean.
They write offering millions of dollars in unclaimed funds,
Wanting help because husband has died ,they have funds they need taken out of the country can you assist etc.and still I get accommodation requests from alias people wanting ten rooms,food etc.
I just laugh and tell them we only take EFT and funny we never hear from them again.
Just keep putting each email address into the block sender list then delect as well and it's quite amusing.

I once emailed back and asked for money to help me!,,!!
Funny never got a reply from them either

I was involved in 4 scams this week.

1. "HSBC" - wanting me to fill out a form with all my details.
2. Lloyds - - wanting me to fill out a form with all my details, don't even have an account with them
3. HMRC - tell all of us at work that were were all entitled to a £178 rebate and to send all our details.
4. The cash point in our building was cloned. Luckily I have not used it in over 10 months.

What a world we live in.

Gotta drive to New Orleans this morning for an all day meeting.

Not allowed to use bad words on IPF, but boy oh boy...... Leaving next week to go back home for a nice three weeks holiday. Always had a bit of a mixed feeling because mom is not well. Today I found out it is a brain tumor. One side happy, because I will be home on time. Other side a feel like " you know what" because it will be the last time.....

We, as children, all know this moment will come, but it still is....oh well. Sorry just had to get it of my chest. Heard about it this morning and had to get through the day. Now on the way home and afterwards an IChat with my great sisters to discuss how to proceed.

Living abroad is fantastic, but not at times like this.

Sorry, just had to write this. Time will heal all wounds.

Now let's hope for a JB this weekend. Will keep my mind of things.

Yes, life can be so cruel at times. I can only guess at how you are feeling. We've lost family members to degenerative diseases. Some went quickly others more slowly.
Their loss will always be there.

Just stumbled across this this morning - and, sorry for the intrusion, but had to say that I completely sympathize/empathize. My mom was recently diagnosed with mylodysplastic syndrome (akin to leukemia - cancer of the blood and bone marrow.) Having just gone to see her I know exactly the emotionally mixed juggernaut you refer to above. What has helped both my mom and I cope with the inevitable is a good bit of gallows humor (caveat: I'm not saying this is what you should do as I certainly don't know you or your mum - I'm simply offering a potential tool of sorts that has allowed us to "talk" about things without getting pulled under by the seemingly incomprehensible weight of it all.)

I wish you and your family the best. Light and strength to you.

Thanks. Still not at that stage yet. I have not seen her in over a year. First have to get a feeling on how she is doing and then we take it from there.

Next week she is scheduled for an MRI, although we all doubt what good it will do.

God, I'm so sorry JJK! That was simply awful for you! I know that we all have to face that one day and I know that no matter how annoying my mum can be, she's still me mum and I love her! My colleague at work has just lost her brother to lung cancer after two weeks notice and my hubby lost his eldest sister to kidney/lung cancer just over a month ago so I know how hard that time with her will be. I hope your JB comes so that it can take your mind off of it (not for long, I know, but it does help!)

I will think of you and keep in touch if you need to as you can see there are a few of us who can empathise with you.

I send my love to you and your family. Cherish the time spent with her.

Oh JJK, I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I will keep you and her in my prayers. I can only imagine how hard this is for you. But knowing moms like I do (I am one), just be sure and let her know how much you love her. That will be enough. *big hug*

JJK I feel your pain it's not an easy thing to go thew I know my Mom died from brain cancer it's a very hard thing to see the ones you love go thew so much pain! My thoughts and prayers are with you!
