The Official I got my iPad 2 Thread!

I finally got my iPad 2 today! They only had 3G/Wifi models but I was not going home empty handed! It has exceeded my expectations so far. :)

so i finally sprung for the Apple BT keyboard...paired it up in 17 secs...and now here I am typing away. kids bought me a $25 itunes card also, and with that, i downloaded Pages. Anybody have any input on the goods/bads of Pages?

Wow, I think this keyboard actually makes me type faster. LOL!

Just Got My Ipad 2!

I finally received my Ipad 2 in the mail. I love it! It's simply amazing watching movies on it. :)
However, I noticed that I get a lot of fingerprints on the screen. On my iphone 4, I put a screen protector on it and that basically eliminates most of the fingerprint traffic on the screen. Does anyone recommend putting a screen protector film on the Ipad 2?

streaming live sports

i know the ipad doesnt support flash, but can someone please tell me if there is a app you can get, or will there be a app u can get to let you watch live sporting events? thank you from a big sports fan

yes put a screen protector on then its easy to wash off the fingerprints without damaging the iPad surface. How do you watch movies without a video player?

I don't have a screen protector. Never have ~ you can't damage the iPad surface by cleaning off fingerprints.

Well I guess if you used gasoline or something.

There are some third party browsers that 'sort of' support Flash by hosting the content on their company web servers and then streaming the decoded content to the iPad but the results tend to be very variable. iSwifter - there's a free limited viewing time version - and Puffin are two possibilities.

Another way is to view the content from your iPad on the screen of your PC - many Members seem to be moving in that direction now and use Splashtop. Again, there's a free limited-viewing-time version available.

One of our members carried out a survey of Office apps for his company; you can see his conclusions in this thread...

I Love my iPad 2!

I was expecting to get a Motorola Xoom from my family for Father's Day, so I did all the research for that device. Well four days ago I recieved my box and opened it to my surprise I had gotten a iPad 2 instead. After just four day I am so happy they got me the iPad, it is easy to use and i have synced all my music and prchased new apps that make this my prize toy. I work in Eastern Africa for a US Military contractor and getting the right tools and reference material can be challenging at times. I have downloaded all my reference material and documents on my iPad so know i have everything at my finger tips. I saw a guy at our recreation center (wifi) hotspot having problems connecting to the server, with me right out of the box it connected once I got into the hotspot area. Like I said in the title "I Love my iPad 2"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:ipad-front:

I went into the Apple store today looking to buy a screen protector but they said that they don't recommend it because the screen protectors get very mixed reviews and may lower the sensitivity on the touch screen. I was set on buying a screen protector but now I'm torn and don't know what to do. What do you think I should do?

I have a screen protector and I have not noticed diminished response from the touch screen. Go for it...you will get value from it. Ar least if your not happy, you can remove the screen protector and wipe off the 'residue'.

I decided to get the Griffin Defender case from Best Buy, it is kinda expensive at 79.99 but it comes with a built in screen protector. It also added some weight to my iPad2 but now I don't need to worry about breaking it!
Well worth the investment!
