And, it's a bit pricey ($7.99 USD on Cydia) but I'd recommend PKGBackup to do a backup of your Cydia apps (that I assume you've got some ... since you're already jailbroken).

As f4780y mentioned, both together are great: restore from backup with iTunes (your App Store stuff), jailbreak and then restore from backup with PKGBackup (your Cydia stuff).

I only have about 150 apps on my iPad, with about 15 or so Cydia tweaks. I've restored and re-jailbroke my iPad a number of times and the above 3 steps means that it only takes me about 1 1/2 hours to get my iPad back all fresh and "clean." Of course, YMMV (cause I always have to put in a qualifier...just to be safe :o).

Again, good luck.

Sorry, my bad. I seem to be having a problem reading people posts tonight. I should not be trying to watch "Fringe" at the same time!

Apologies mindovermedia, I did not read that you were already jailbroken. You are right, iTunes backup is NOT enough in this situation. I wrote a guide on upgrading a JB here - http://www.ipadforums.net/jailbreak...des/26399-how-upgrade-your-ios-jailbreak.html

You should follow that, and Marilyn's advice, to invest in PkgBackup which the guide relies upon.

Hope that helps, and sorry again for missing it!

I just downgrade my ipad 2 3G 64, modem fw 04.10.01 successfully from 4.3.5 to 4.3.3.
At first, I got error 1013 when using snow leopard. But, when I use windows it works perfectly.

Hello I have Ipad 1 16gb and I am on 4.2.1. I have a question if I must first upgrade to 4.3.5 to restore to 4.3.3 or can I restore direct to 4.3.3?

with best regards Dean

You are not able to JB your iPad. See this sticky for the facts as to why -
Your only option is to be patient and wait for an ios5 JB to be released in the future. Sorry.

Thank you for answer my questions. Is this because I didn't SAVE my SHSH Blobs before 4.3.2?

I have another questions? Can I update my Ipad2 from 4.3.2 to 4.3.5 from itunes, and downgrade again using TU for 4.3.3? Or It won't help me because I didn't save my SHSH Blobs?

Thank you so much for your help.

The bold is the answer (as was also pointed out in the sticky f4780y pointed you to). If you didn't save blobs for iOS4.3.3, then you cannot load it onto your iPad. Cannot.

Do you have SHSH blobs saved for iOS 4.3.3? If not - no you cannot restore the iPad to version 4.3.3. Ever.

Because you have an iPad1, however, you can upgrade to iOS 4.3.5 and do a tethered jailbreak using redsn0w. Those directions are here: http://www.ipadforums.net/jailbreak...tutorial-jailbreak-ipad1-redsn0w-windows.html

Good luck.

Thank you f4780y and Marilyn for helping me out.

I have another problem on my Ipad 2. When I check on my Settings > General > About. I didn't see my Modem Firmware listing on my Ipad 2.

The only things I see is Songs, Videos, Photos and down to Legag, and Regulatory. No where I can't see my Firmware lising on my About Screen.

Also, I am missing Cellular Data Address, IMEI, ICCID, and Modem Firmware.

I did Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings, and it's the same.

Please see attached for Red Circle that missing on my Ipad 2.

Thank you for all your help.

Recovery mode over and over again

I successfully restored my iPad. Says on my iTunes that its already been restored. . . This messaged will be dismissed in __ seconds.. <-- That message

But then after that message was dismissed, iTunes will then detect my iPad that its on recovery mode (AGAIN).

Then still I cant turn on my iPad.

Ive done this about 3 times now, still the same every after i restore.

Ive tried everything i guess. Still wouldnt work.

Oh and my iPad's screen every after "restoring" is black. Its like off and nothing is on the screen.

Help me please!

(Ive used Tinyumbrella and iReb4)

Need more detail. What iPad, 1 or 2, 3G or WiFi, and what version of IOS are you trying to restore? What version were you on previously?
Can you show a screenshot of TU which shows you have blobs for the version you are trying to restore...
