Ultimate List of Jailbreak Tweaks

The first post has been updated with the latest requests worthy of making it to the list ;)

I'm using two brand new tweaks that are really great.

KBShortcuts is...sort of the Swiss knife of text. You can search text, replace, translate, move to predefined spots, automatically type words or phrases you previously set up or your email. Obviously it replaced a few tweaks at once and it's worth every penny of the couple bucks it cost. Basically, you set it up with all your shortcuts ( or the ones that come with it ) and simply slide up from your spacebar to the pertinent letter. Much like Swype. If you work with a lot of text or like automation, I'd heartily recommend it.

QuickSafari is 2nd and simpler but really useful. I'm sort of a google fiend and this bakes in search a little closer to iOS. No setting, you just set QuickSafari to whichever Activator motion you like, for me it's a short hold of the home button. When I do that, a very Applish menu pops up asks for a search term or web URL. Pop something in and takes you to Google or the page you entered. Not as revolutionary but nice.

It's cool to see that great tweaks keep coming.

I fell in love with KBShortcuts when I saw it was released.

I also use QuickSafari on both my iPhone and iPad.

I heard that QuickGoogle is free and is basically the same as QuickSafari...not sure though

Cardswitcher is really cool, first had it on iphone, but now iPad support, I'm using it on iPad 2.
Especially the cardflow interface just updated, and option to exit switcher apps too, when closed with cardswitcher, awesome.
With activator gestures, even better.

Definitely an ultimate list tweak.

iOS 5 compatible too.

Winterboard is now OS5 compatible, however not all is rosy with iPad themes yet. These will likley need work by the individual theme developers, so don't expect themes to behave exactly like they did on 4.x! ;)

More of a tip, but i noticed in the ultimate list, atleast 3 tweaks, changecarrier, fakecarrier, makeitmine.
i think makeitmine does banner too.

With the new updated SBSettings, i was in the more section, where the sbsettings setup screen can be found....under system wide options(system options), you will notice custom carrier(makeitmine), so i used it and it works.... so this should eliminate the need for those tweaks, iOS 4 or iOS 5.

just an image, not updated version.....

other nice additions too, explore yourself..

cardswitcher is awesome, i use it A LOT, it should make the list, and is iOS 5 compatible.
i think it eliminates going to app switcher...HANDS DOWN!!! a good multitasker option, even kills apps in the switcher, by cardswitcher settings app.

i am gonna admit, i never used sprintomize before, even now, but was tempted.....but i never really got it.
But i will be grabbing this version for sure.

iFile would be my choice.
I am not sure I understand. This got my attention so I went and read up on iFile, and I didn't see anywhere that it could read external hard drives, and in any case is there a proper connector interface to connect a hard drive (or were you talking about wifi drives?). Could you explain some more? Thanks,

iFile reads external drives connected via the Camera Connection Kit, so either SD Cards or powered external drives connected via USB, depending on which of the 2 adapters you use.

Ahh good point. The iPad can't drive the portable hard drives, so they have to be separately powered (wall wart or something). The problem is that all my (well the newer ones anyway) are all "self" powered (e.g., from the USB 2.0 connector and the computer). So I will have to use a BIG SD/CF card or an OLD PHD. I'll have to think about that. But regardless, thanks for the info.

If it uses USB power then just get a USB split cable, one end plugs into the iPad, one end plugs into the iPad plug and the other plugs into the hard drive, that's what I do.
