I'm using two brand new tweaks that are really great.
KBShortcuts is...sort of the Swiss knife of text.
QuickSafari is 2nd and simpler but really useful
I am not sure I understand. This got my attention so I went and read up on iFile, and I didn't see anywhere that it could read external hard drives, and in any case is there a proper connector interface to connect a hard drive (or were you talking about wifi drives?). Could you explain some more? Thanks,iFile would be my choice.

Ahh good point. The iPad can't drive the portable hard drives, so they have to be separately powered (wall wart or something). The problem is that all my (well the newer ones anyway) are all "self" powered (e.g., from the USB 2.0 connector and the computer). So I will have to use a BIG SD/CF card or an OLD PHD. I'll have to think about that. But regardless, thanks for the info.iFile reads external drives connected via the Camera Connection Kit, so either SD Cards or powered external drives connected via USB, depending on which of the 2 adapters you use.
