Glad to hear from you. Got us all going, you did! Checked out the website from Richard. You could do with our torrential rain AA. We have had rain every day for bloomin months! Call this Summer? Yugh!

We had another road closure so fire fighters could access the site from a different point to complete the fire break. Which they did.

A Ministry of Natural Resources helicopter was water bombing to ensure the flames don't take off again. I don't hear it flying around this morning so that's promising.

Water Bombers were called back today.
Fire Services fighting spot fires and flare ups. A bulldozer and an excavator are overhauling hot spots.

3 fire fighters hospitalized for heat stroke.

Weather here is currently 21°C,cloudy with a light drizzle. Scattered thunderstorms are predicted but haven't happened yet.
 
It's dry with a high cloud cover which is breaking up to allow the sun through. Forecast is 20C and dry. I hope so for our BBQ

they're a tad worried about the weather......250,000 ponchos may not be enough.

No worries......they can move the sailing and canoeing inland to the Olympic Stadium!!
