Lovely pictures, Czevski! I saw a red winged blackbird on my drive to work the other day and thought why I don't see them around my backyard. From what I hear, they like to be close to water or creeks--which is where I saw the one. The are a pretty bird.

Love the pics of your birds, chipmunk and your bee balm! :)

A few animals came to visit us in our backyard when we were gardening this afternoon.

Earlier, a Mallard Duck came from behind me and "quacked!"

A fawn was nestling in our Pines when my husband found it before trimming a tree close by.

Also, I wanted for finish planting my geraniums and went to pick up the flowers only to find this....

I'm surprised you haven't had red winged blackbirds since you have mallards and frogs. I only see those when I go to those parks that have rivers or ponds.

I know right! You'd think I'd see some red winged black birds when I see all the other critters? I just don't get it either! :)

Beautiful photos Czevski.......love the chipmunk!

Or a golf club to practice your swing on some of those Queensland cane toads leelai? I remember being in sugar growing/refining country near Townsville (MacNade?) some years ago where the toads would congregate in their hundreds in the evenings. From the activity of the locals I think they would have pretty low handicap levels on the golf course.;)

Lol! I sure do get quite a bit of practice myself in the summer OB.

I can only imagine how many they get up north! ;)

I captured 3 more toads that were hiding between our bags of mulch! Hubbie brought them over to the garden where they'd feel safe! :)

I rescued this guy from the lawn before turning on the sprinkler.

It's amazing what you can find in your own back yard if you look closely enough.
