What I see in my backyard...

The Starlings are here again. :-(

That is a great shot sci. Just to get it in the frame at all says something about your reflexes!:) And the photo gives a good feel of movement.

The squirrel was less than 5' from me at the time. As long as you make no sudden movements, they'll come quite close.

It is fledgling time!

Yelling didn't work, so this brown thrasher built himself a nest in the soft dirt next to our new patio and tried again. Mom still ignored him.

These starling youngsters still call to be fed although they are quite competent feeders.

Backyard baby time is fun to watch.

More birds. Rose breasted grosbeaks just showed up. Two adult males and several females/juveniles.

This male loved the suet and so did the juvenile male that he fed.

Those are great pics of birds! I love the pics of the thrasher...he has quite the look on his face which is just so funny! :)

I was walking through by backyard and was pleased to see how well my Balloon Flowers are doing. So many blooms have yet to open--but when they do, they are a sight to see! :)

Super cute LannyC, I used to hand feed the chipmunks at our last house. Don't have any around here yet.

I wouldn't actually touch a wild rodent, especially chipmunks. They sometimes carry plague (yes, THAT plague).
