According to my birdwatcher's book, the Robin Redbreast is a type of thrush or chat. While I was sitting out on the deck, a wren appeared to pick up food from about 3 feet from me. The wren is Britain's smallest bird and supposedly very shy. The Latin name is Troglodytes troglodytes.
