What's new

What I see in my backyard...

That's an amazing difference Sci.....you must be so sick of it all!

Although, the upside, you must have great arm muscles from shovelling. ;)

A quick iPad video pan out the back door yesterday. Not in Sci's league, but a record for the date here:

Lots and lots of snow, with more to come.:(

View attachment 38426 Here's an earlier photo, quite a difference!

I have I agree with Leelai--that is a big difference between the two pictures. You must have a lot of squirrels employed for snow duty to tidy up the place!

I rarely spend time outside, but I see from my recliner that buds have emerged on the trees right outside my book room.

Gosh, I wish I were seeing bid formation from where I am sitting. Just not seeing it yet. I am getting so tired of wearing the parka and want desperately to wear shorts/t's and flip flops!

Great video, Lanny...you sure did get quite a bit of snow. Your backyard sure does look pretty though!! :)

You wouldn't believe the muscles they develop from snow removal. The most important thing, though, is that they come real cheap. They do, after all, work for peanuts.

I always find it disconcerting coming out of winter to suddenly seeing my legs again after so long! Hubby enjoys it though. ;)

I thought about you Sci--there were so many squirrels running around in my backyard the other day! One found a half cored out apple left for the deer. I took a picture of it as it was snacking on it!:)

I love wearing shorts and T's---I like the light weight feeling you get after having to wear layers upon layers to stay warm! I think it will be very soon for us now. The last two days I have seen 4 robins out-so a for sure sign of Spring!! Yess!!! :)

I hope that the robins appearing is a sure sign of spring.....saw an article on Punxsutawney Phil in our paper the other day, a lot of folk were upset with him with 1 lawyer wanting to sue him :D

I hope so to! It will lift the spirits of many Michiganders who are suffering from Cabin fever!!

Poor Punxsutawney Phil--he's getting such a bad rap right now! In fact there's a poster on Facebook wanting him fired from his position!!

Poor Phil.....he should get some slack. He's only been wrong this once....much better strike rate than all the weather experts! ;)

Last I heard Phil went into hiding because of all the complaints! He couldn't handle it anymore. He can't bare to even look at his own shadow at this point...just a nervous wreck! Some of the weather experts should take a few lessons from Punxsutawney for his accuracy in the past!! ;)

Happy Easter y'all.

My surprise visitor this morning. We've had two beautiful days, but the snow isn't melted yet.
