Both. It depends on the cut of the collar.
I was terribly disappointed when "Tie Rack" went out of business a couple of years ago.

All's not lost Admiral,

Tie Rack is pretty fit and healthy over here in the UK. http://www.tie-rack.co.uk/

Like you, I loved my neckwear. I have quite a collection, hardly used since retirement.

I didn't know the company was still operating in the UK.

Tie Rack was the only retailer I know of in Canada that sold a decent, nicely priced pre knotted bow tie.

Hi Fleur
Love your new image! It's so different from the other one that it doesn't quite gel with what's in my head yet...if that makes any sense?!(**)

But in days gone by, if that little clover flower had been spotted on our grass, it would have disappeared & been rumenated (sic) by now.:-):-):-)

(**) Seriously though, aren't avatars interesting from that point of view? A whole new can of worms....

EDIT:
This message is here because I spotted Fleur's new avatar first on "What is it?". But on reflection, it would be better on "Anything goes". Not sure whether to move it (again) or not? Apologies.

My recent challenge in what is it? image-1333603283.webp Is now the 5th challenge to come out of the washroom at my workplace. The sink has been good for three challenges on its own.

That's excellent, thrifty multi-tasking!

Scifan - re: Hale Bopp images.

What kind of optics did you use?

I had a 200 mm telephoto lens on a Nikon F3 camera, which was in a piggyback mount on an equatorially mounted motor driven telescope.
The sunset photo of the comet was shot with a standard lens, with the camera mounted on a tripod.

Both images are awesome.

The time exposure at night because of the randomness of the meteor appearing in the frame.

The sunset image I viewed trying to imagine myself an ancient. Wondering what this could be.
Even knowing what it is - it looks beautiful and menacing at the same time.

Thanks for bringing these out.

The 126 to Bromley South is your's to board, with the next challenge.

Transport for London have an excellent service for bus passengers. Each bus stop had a unique code displayed. Text the code from your mobile phone to the telephone number shown, and you get a text telling when the next buses will arrive at the stop.

Lazy bones has the codes in his phone, and will text the required code before stepping out of the house. We can time when to get to our bus stop and avoid a long wait. :)

We have something similar in Regina. Live maps with all the bus stops indicated and moving icons representing the buses progress around the route in real time. If we enter the bus stop number,we get the time of the next arrival at that stop.

The London bus network is far too complicated and widespread to support a system such as that used in Regina. However, I do like your city's system with the live map.
