What's new

What music are you listening to right now!?!?

This is the first time I've heard of either. Pretty amazing to hear this, if I listen to the voices as music it feels very much like a modern Opera.

Never heard of Josh Groban? Wow. Check this out.

Love Sissel's voice, but I keep coming back to Sarah Brightman. She is amazing.

I must try to find the link to a comparison between Sarah Brightman and Sissel singing the same piece. Sarah with neck veins bulging as she projects her, admittedly, beautiful voice, as Sissel just calmly and almost nonchalantly delivers the song with as much, if not more power than Sarah.

;) Love Sarah's voice, but I keep coming back to Sissel Kyrkjebø. She is amazing. :D

You should know this place by now. Ask and it shall be delivered.

Sissel first.

And now Sarah (with some help)

Here are a couple more Sarah duets.

First, Pasión, with Fernando Lima.

And, with Alessandro Safina, Sarai Qui

I saw this performed live in Edmonton. As we were discussing the beauty of the female voice, I thought it was time to dig it out.

Aria, by Yanni. For those not familiar with him, he's the dude in the white shirt. He plays the piano, writes and arranges all of his music, and just in case that's not talented enough represented Greece in the Olympics as a swimmer at age 14. Some people seem to have it all!

Which gives me an excuse to plug my favorite Yanni piece, Reflections of Passion, this version at the Royal Albert Hall, London.
