I broke the habit of a lifetime yesterday and took pot luck on choosing a film. It was called Empire State.......never, ever again will I pick a film at random because it has to be the worst film I have ever watched!

No, not that bad but it just felt like one of those "filler" films in a series......although I was very tired when I watched it so maybe I was missing something. Robert Downey Jr. was great as always though.

I watched 10 minutes of Iron Man 2, all I could take. It was dreadful. No more comic book flicks for me.

Tonight we watched The Conspirator, about the trial of Mary Surratt for the assassination of Lincoln. Recommended.

I just watched "The Sapphires". It came out last year, what a good movie!

Spielberg's Adventures of Tintin. Think of Raiders of the Lost Ark, with the laws of physics occasionally suspended. Gorgeous, playful, funny, never a dull moment. Makes me wonder what Walt Disney would make of the current state of animation.
