The global challenge is the one where the most flights to any one destination on the world map gets a ranking and the highest ranked players get a prize each week on Sunday.
GI have recently realised that to reward just the top three to each destination was useless and players were not interested so they now reward more players each week.
(I think).
As last week's update rendered many games as unplayable, it's of little interest to many of us at the moment.

LtCol Rehab (may show as "username") - need Long Distance (LD) flight items like spare props, osc beacons, fuel hoses, deicers. LtColRehab2 - need LD flight items, thanks all!

Yes, one of my prizes was for 100th place to some destination (worth a repair kit), so they have definitely expanded the prize pool.

Apparently fixing the game is too hard, and it's far easier for them to disparage and blame paying players who are pretty loyal, despite all the regular problems and continuous poor customer service.

Unfortunately some of us poor blocked 2nd rate players can't take part in this, as far as I can tell.

I swear this game takes longer to start up every time I try it. I keep expecting to hear the beep, beep, beep of the cassette tape as it loads!

I agree, I'm with you...my iPad goes to sleep it takes that long to load....

It doesn't show your old game, it shows you as level 5

Are y'all still having issues with AC loading? I woke up last night and I tried together on and after 6 attempts to land some planes, send off some planes, collect revenues I gave up. I'm on an iPad. I saw a couple of you with the same problem. Is it just the iPad people or others. The delay is taking away my desire to play. And I still can't visit a lot if you guys. I can gift but that is it. Very annoyed by this game.

No, it's not just the iPad, it's even slower on the iPhone, I frequently give up just trying to load it on that and when it does eventually load, it just crashes after a few minutes.

I guess this is done to force players to upgrade to 5s or Air or Mini 2. It loads superfast on my 5s.

I finally reached the end of my patience with my iPad game. Life's too short.
Please accept my apologies for not being able to send gifts etc.
I'll resume playing if they ever fix the game,
