Hooray, the game speed is now back to normal. The snow worries me a little though, do I sense a rehash of last years Christmas quest coming? Or perhaps I'm just an old cynic.

I'd be interested to see if they fixed anything else significant in this update...like blocked players and players showing as away when they are actually playing.

LtCol Rehab (may show as "username") - need Long Distance (LD) flight items like spare props, osc beacons, fuel hoses, deicers. LtColRehab2 - need LD flight items, thanks all!

I've had one crash since the new upgrade, but it looks like it was perhaps a one-off occurrence because I was trying to catch up on so much lost time. Maybe it was just too much for it when I tried to harvest from every building etc. I've opened the game three times since and all seems stable. Fingers and everything else crossed. What a relief that it opens in a reasonable time.

Short answer to that one is a resounding no. You are still showing as Username and away, and unless you have just received gifts on either account from 96, my iPhone game is still blocked. So no surprises there, maybe GI will fix as a Christmas present!

Today's upgrade has allowed me to resume playing which is good, but I still find that my game doesn't always save my progress. I've sent planes out, closed the game, then reopened later and found that the planes are back in the hangars. It doesn't happen every time, but it's a rather worrying trend. I also had a crash after visiting three neighbours.
Has anyone else had similar problems (iPad2)?
Anyhow, at least it's much improved since yesterday.

Exactly the same thing is happening to me. The game still crashes all the time, specially when collecting from business etc. I now have to collect just a few things at a time and hope for the best. Pain in the rear! (Ipad mini) better than it was but far from ideal.

Long distance items please. My sons Airport is called "Rigby's city" He can't gift anymore as he's been unfairly penalised.

I'm close to deleting the whole game now. Seems to me the game is having less developers time and money spent on it what with all there latest games GI would like you to switch to. Plus the fact that there now just rolling out the old quests again rather than come up with some new ones.

My game seems to be a bit more stable today.
I rather like the snowy scene for winter, but I think the effect looks better on a big airport where it doesn't dominate the landscape as much as on smaller airports.

I see they now added a short phrase: 'if you think it's an error'. Do I detect a small admission there that they have falsely accused people?

I would love to update because I am bored again, but I feel I can't take any risks. If my game gets messed up again I am toast because I won't be able to use a restoration code

Oh dear,
You are in a sorry state. In truth, the most recent quest is boring and the prize looks to be weary, so you may be sensible in not updating. Just collect stuff that drops from flights and bide your time. Maybe when the Christmas quest arrives, you should take the plunge and update. Last year's Christmas game was probably the best of the bunch and it did give us numerous prizes. As Luke mentioned earlier, it's likely to be much the same this year as GI seem to be doing a 12 month recycle of their previous quests. They might surprise us all and do something special, but I tend to agree that GI seem to have all their efforts on their new games which presumably make them more money.
Keep playing. I think we are all constantly wondering when our games will crash and thereafter never return. It's like Russian roulette.
