Wabbitgirl does not need anymore shears, thanks everyone for your help. I am not done with the quest but that part always seems to be the most frustrating, at least for me. So now I am back to the regular gifting and I am in need of: Terminal level 8: Router (3) Control Tower level 8: Laser Rangefinder (3) and the usual skin care products, perfume, eau de toilette, whiskey. So I have finally come to a STANDSTILL in the quest. The quest requires building of 3 merry-go-rounds, for building which I have too much population. I do not fancy removing other buildings. I think I'm going to leave this quest this time and do it the next year when I will have upgraded my town hall.

By completing the quest, your population is suppose to increase by 50 so even if you have to delete more buildings to do so, it will help in the long run. Right now I am still needing over 300K to purchase the townhall upgrade and that will only give me 100 more population.

Don't pack it in on the quest!

As you earn each merry go round, temporarily sell one of your flower shops or book stores, which are easily replaced with coins later, after you have more population. Or, sell a Halloween shop or three, which you don't need until October. This also works well if you have more Halloween shops in your warehouse.

Okay, but I need to get rid of about a century of people to get my population down to required. I don't think its that easy to do only with flower shops and halloween shops...

I see your point. I also see that you placed two merry go rounds already.

I (reluctantly) got under population limit on both games. Of course, this was at the expense of regular revenue from the sold buildings. If you need to reduce population by 100, I would sell your unique gift store (24 pop), your expo center (24 pop), and one of your two movie theaters (48 pop). Looks like you may have already done something to get below, which allowed you to place the two new merry go rounds.

Also, don't forget that you can get under population limit, build a bunch of buildings, and your population doesn't take a hit until their construction period is over. As long as you leave them all under construction and limit your building of new ones to the time of the shortest construction period, you will be able to well exceed the population limit. In this way, you could regain many of your old buildings after you finish the three merry go rounds. Then you wouldn't need to selll more buildings until the next challenge.

Well this was either a typo or Android users ended up with more population but I completed the quest and only got an increase of 20. It still does help but 50 would have been great.

Ah Fred, I sent in a request the day after you did about my missing Donut Shop. All I wanted was 8 green cash to replace it. My reply from Support was to send me a code to "unblock" my game! Ummm...that's not what I asked about, I'm not blocked!! Maybe GI is busy helping Russia beat up the Ukraine right now and mixed up my request with someone else's...grrr.
