I can now place 2 additional factories onto active duty. Maybe GI will provide the breakpoints for the buildings to be placed into active status. Seems like GI is listening. Arcadia, will you come back?
 
Oh yeah - big chance, reducing the happiness required.
Only effect for me was that I can take 2 factories out from storage and place on the map - still need a Gazilion to build a new one.

Not even going for the middle gift and 2 bells anymore - just filled one vessel today - despite lacking only 1 silver anchor to upgrade.

I am so close to calling it quits.

Me too... Gonna pull the plug soon. This move by GI is ridiculous... I will be contacting apple for refunds too. This is bs.

Hang around a bit longer, I suspect they may compensate us a bit for our trouble. I have calculated that even with 31 more baseball diamonds, I still fall short by 330k of happiness. Not to mention the electricity issues I have with trying to build that many baseball diamonds.
 
I just don't get it... My next factory was going to be allowed at 480,000 population. That jumped to 1.2 mill, now adjusted to 800,000... But my entertainment levels are the same... I'm really confused: either I'm missing something or this is one of the most insane adjustments ever made that only Russian World can "afford".

I loved the game but now I'm not sure what I am playing for....

Why were GI compelled to make the change? I, like many others, have written to iTunes but drew a blank on getting my money back. One thing will become really clear to GI in a couple of months, as they will not be making as much money as they were....gamers lose, GI lose. Just don't make sense....

Since I still plan on playing a while longer, I have set myself a new goal since I can't build my town any bigger I plan on being the richest one. Lol. That is about all we can do...can't buy any factories, no point in buying entertainment buildings so the only thing left is to make money. I compete in contests just for the extra selling coins but I have placed in a lot so I will upgrade the factories I have with silver medals...the White House is out of reach for me so I will collect confetti and go for the gifts. I will keep up the port and filling neighbors containers as much as possible (again for the extra selling coins). No point in buying land as I won't need any extra space.

This is what GI have reduced loyal players too. Sad.
 
I re-started the app and my hp points went up by 6000 and the buildings hp contribution has also risen with the update

Not sure but was able to place 2 more factories out of storage. It's a step in the direction if nothing else

My population went up 3000, and my needed population dropped from 1.6 million to 1.2 million....
So, I just need to add 1 million to my population for the next building....
I don't even think that's possible...

I am able to place 3 more factories from my storage but cannot build anything else because my pop requirement is still too high, 1.122 mil
I am not even playing much, most factories are idle.

Btw, I am not participating in contests. What's the point. I let the youngsters have a bit o'fun. Less competition for them.

You need 70 flags to upgrade Lincoln memorial.
