I put in a ticket with GI for clarification about storage of prize building. I ranted it was unfair and perhaps they needed to address this issue. So we shall see their response. I will continue on and screenshot completion of production requirements achieved. I will keep on them until they review that ridiculous situation.

I took the citizens with keys only and then once I got down to having to need 2 to fill a taxi and then boom said I was complete.

Whoa hold on there. Is that your only evidence? I get that shot when I hit the info of the event. That's not the shot when it completes.
I am thinking you have gotten confused here. Did you finish all the goods asked of you? And what does the screen shot look like when you try to take the item? I can't believe you can't put it in storage. When I bought my Waffle House and my mine from the sales it allowed me to put them in storage and then swap out another industrial to place it in my city.
I am back on the event for now until confirmed a second time.

I should know today since I am close to completing the requirements. I have only the sour cream left and that will take another 12 hours to complete.
Sigh. I knew it was too good to be true. Am on stage 4 of the commercial port, with a good 5 days and 14 hours to go if I want to get the safe. And guess what ... getting the steel details from the 10 donuts shops I have is going to hold me up; I've had one drop in one-and-a-half days so far, so the betting odds on getting all 30 in time are looking to be against me

I finished the event and it says "build" and when I choose the option, which is my only option, it states I don't have the population requirements.

I would put in a ticket to GI with those screen shots and ask them if they will put the building in storage for you. Tell them you understand you don't have the population to put it in your city right now, but if they can put it in your storage since you earned it, you can save it for later when your population increases.

Thanks meg, I did ask that they put it in storage and I figured I would see what kind of broken English response I receive. I am always amazed at their responses. My English is troublesome at times, but not on these smaller non complex responses that are needed.

I know a lot of people have had trouble with GI responding to problems. I've only had to interact with them once. I finished building the port within the time frame, but did not get my safe. I messaged them and just stuck to the facts. I wasn't rude, or nice...just to the point. At first they said I hadn't completed it within the time frame, but when I went back and check on the dates and times myself, I knew I had finished it within hours to spare. I clarified to them how I felt I had completed it in time with a very lengthy and detailed explanation and they eventually gave me what I had earned.
Just my experiences, but I know others have had worse. It doesn't hurt to try and message them and see what happens. I will be doing the same thing when I finish it. Maybe if enough of us message them with the same problem, and do it nicely and not yelling and being mean, they will give us the building in storage. Doesn't hurt to try!

Thanks Major, sorry for doubting you. I just could not accept being screwed by GI like that. But yes that confirms it.
Lets try another angle. Do you have space in your WH? Wondering if you did not get the storage option because your WH is full
